  • FunFair - what made the ceiling fall in? Always reminds me of Chicken Lickin

    .

We had a flood upstairs a while ago now (due to that stupid washing machine plumbing being outside the bathroom) and the ceiling has got worse since then. I had my cousin look at it on Saturday but as he is in the middle of moving house he couldn't repair it till a week this Saturday. He works through the day and is doing his moving at night (plus I'm not paying him!!). He asked me to get OH to take the light fitting down and when he did we discovered that was what was holding it all up! At least it's safe now! I'm just not looking forward to the rest of it coming down because of the mess.

Mudbath well done at getting the caravan sorted, it's got an almost identical lay out to mine, your sink/cooker are the other way round and there is a larger piece of wood between the double/bunks, and there is drawers in the middle of the doube, that's it hehe :D it works well for us at the minute but we're very aware there is a weight limit on the bunks and will have to change it in a couple of years. I would suggest getting it serviced at a different dealers just before the warranty is due up.
PenPen hope you feel better today
soappie, a way to help them feel directly the cost of it would be to agree to split the gas bill in addition to their usual board/rent due to the increase in costs, I think upping the rent/board in general doesn't give the realisation of what they are doing, needs to be a little more direct a consequence.
Dusty I was watching a news report about the amount returning to teaching/retraining. There is 3 people on my course doing just that. I'm doing my degree to go into primary teaching, well that was the plan, so I am wondering if it's still a good idea.

Need to get this assignment completed today, but DP asked to be left in bed until 10.30am so can't start it yet, never thought about that when we relocated the main PC, not much left at all to do and it's gone so well I'm worried as to if I have got it right.

Going to do the bathroom, the desks pretty much ok (good idea buying a smaller one) but could do with a dust down, will defraggle once I've got the assignment sent off. 1.30pm have DS2 at asthma clinic as it seems to be returning :( he's not been bothered by it for nearly a year but since the cold over Christmas he's been complaining about not being able to breathe properly at home and school so think it's best go get him checked over see if he needs meds again.

Hope you all have a nice day, I'll probably catch up with you all later on x
One day I might be more organised...........

Hi to All! I havent caught up with the thread. Sorry. So Hi and hugs to all who need them.

I havent done very well since yesterday morning. All my flying around since I got back from holiday caught up with me and took its toll..... I was exhausted last night, had no motivation, fell alseep on the sofa after dinner and woke up and went to bed!! That was it.

Thankfully as I had done HHI on Monday - all school and work clothes were ready to go!! This morning I had to catch up on my dailies from last night though, like the dishes etc. But a S&S of the kitchen before I left for work this morning, left it looking tidy!! My hard work must be paying off as its taking less effort to get some rooms to at least look half decent!!:rotfl:

I just need to take consolation in the fact that the house is looking half decent and I needed some time off. Will start again today or I will end up wiping myself out. And bonus for me is that I actually did some ironing and some gardening at the weekend which I never do! I deserved a rest.....at least Im telling myself that

I did clean the oven and the fridge while I was making tea last night (was only using the hob - which I cleaned afterwards), so I suppose the evening wasnt a complete waste!

    Anyway, back to my list.....

My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............EXERCISE - just once this week for at least 30 mins!!

Mondays are Marvellous!! - Living pit, hallway, stairs!! :DDONE!!

    Extras
Wipe and water the plants - none so will clean out Vases and refresh flowers - if possible! - Flowers will still good - so will do this later in the week!

Did this morning but will do again a dozen times before bed....
    Level Two
    Wipe the table
    [strike]degunge the hob and oven[/strike]
[strike]slop over the dribbles in the fridge[/strike]
    Level Three
wipe any dining chairs that are grotty
    Wash the windows and sills
    [strike]S&S the units[/strike] and appliances

    Extras
    1. [strike]Deweb[/strike] and polish
    2. Clear out a cupboard of junk!
    3. [strike]Wash any curtains/table cloths that need it [/strike]
    4. HHI
    5. [strike]HHE[/strike]
I dont have a study or a computer table - only a laptop, so Im going to substitute the study for the spare room. The spare room has become a dumping ground for all sorts of rubbish and has enough in there to keep my going all week alone, so doing it today and another day wont hurt it.
