rach no I am not a qualified accountant, but I do run the payroll / do the accounts at work. hence the reason HM sent out new disk for the new tax year 09/10 and on this disk it has the new code add ons.
ah, makes sense now. Happy to send it you if you can work it out but the coding notice they gave me a while ago is basically the same as last year when it should be better and the guy i spoke to this morning seemed to be saying i've been paying too much all along. who knows though, I am not thick but i find this stuff complicated, took the guy's name and will have to get DH to speak to them if it's not straightforward...he said i should receive new coding in 7-10 days plus some kind of rebate. It has been an ongoing saga as some of the regulars will remember, all to do with the nature of my old job...Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

When you think that the thread was way over 3000 posts and now we are usually under 2000 thats really good.
soappie well I would still increase the rent and move the controls - when you increase the rent she may feel she is entitled to use EVEN more heating etc! You may as well get hung for a sheep as a lamb!!!!:rotfl: Earn your title of the wicked MIL!:rotfl: :rotfl: I had pancakes and they were scrummy (didnt make them tho - hangs head in shame!!)
I was like Rach - windows have been open here all day yesterday and today- I actually didnt have heating on until about 9pm last night!
kazwookie I like your style!!!
mudbath I'll let you off then - you did do very well!
boddy glad Mum was ok - about the cigs - good idea to only leave enough
PP- hope you feel better after your pancakes
Ok in my HHC I didnt do as well as mudbath but then I dont have her skill, expertise, determination and motivation after so many weeks doing nothing:rotfl:
I totally cleaned out the fridge - i had spilt baked beans and the tomato sauce had gone solid!
only had to throw out 2 toms which had gone rotten - I am usually very careful with whats in the fridge - I dont like waste and I cant afford it either!
did some shredding from the kitchen table
cleared the hotspot on the table
relocated a small storage box from the kitchen table to my writing table and filled it with things that were lying about - eg digi camera, ds lite, stapler, brown tape etc
wiped the large and small appliances
waterd the herbs
made my dinner
off to check my list and see what else I can score off tonight!
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Greenbee, Dusty, Rach - thanks
I know I need to get tough but (and this will probably absolutely floor and totally amuse Rach who is used to seeing me being tough and -um- uncompromising in certain community situations :rotfl:). I'm - I was going to type scared - and then thought no that's the wrong word - but on reflection, it may be. But, what I'm scared of, I'm not sure - I think it's probably scared of confrontation and unease in my own home.
Again, it's the sneakiness that I don't like. When I got home this evening, there was the wave of warmth. The thermo was where I'd left it (15 degrees). Today hasn't been cold though it's been cool. About half an hour ago I thought hmmm, it is getting too cool indoors. The rads weren't on so I checked the switches. The central heating switch was off. This is double evidence that she'd turned it on in the day and then switched it off, after the timer was supposed to switch it on.
I will do the readings for another week (DiL, I think, is not in Uni per se because she has a report to write up so is doing it from home) and then gird up my loins and talk to them.
Oooh I hate that sort of stuff!
But, kitchen floor has been brushed and cleaned and sills and hobs and ovens done so Toots, I believe I have done all that is required for a star for today pleaseI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Glad its still helping - I remembered because it was me that suggested you try it;) I suggested it to my mum a few years back when she hurt her shoulder and she was super sceptical, she was very surprised by how well it worked!
My little munchkin is fine thanks for asking, back at school today after half term and she's shattered bless her:p
Not done any real flying today as i've been out all day then came in and made a mess making pancakes. They were lovely though.
Have S&S'd kitchen, done the dishes etc but thats about it:o Need to do some calculus in a minute when i find my tutorial stuff! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
sitting in all on my own - had a good cry (long story)
- gotten a grip of myself as dh would go mad if he knew(for the right reasons not because he was being mean
) - and spent the last half hour catching up and cheering myself up. family is at tae kwon do, my back's too bad for me to even think about going
.
lent - i've decided to give up chocolate  - it's the hardest thing i can do and the thing i'm going to start is knitting, one of the ladies at church has given me a pattern for baby jumpers for Save the Children it looks quite simple but it's been years since i knitted so it might take me the whole of lent to do just one. so, pigpen i'd appreciate some hhk on the lists just so i don't fall off the wagon - why if it's on the list do i do it and if it's not leave it
hope everyones feeling better than i am right now
hugs
