Could I use Ready Brek?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

How about porridge?
Microwaved?
Ah well therein lies a tale. This morning I had 3 attempts at making it according to the instructions on the box, each attempt resembling wallpaper paste or worse. I tried varying the milk volume but to no avail. The kitchen looked like a battlefield after dishes everywhere!!
The quick porridge was very straightforward. 3 heaped tablespoons of porridge, 200mls milk & 3mins full power microwave......perfect every time :j0 -
I use porridge oats, and have them made up with the milk/water and then cook them in the micro for two mins in the morning, sometimes having to add a wee bit more milk, then add whatever flavouring that I fancy and they are just the as good as the <oats so simple etc> ranges, and at least half the price!Every days a School day!0

if you're making something like muffins use the oats as a substitute for a portion of the flour. i have a recipe that requires 2.5 cups of flour so i use 1 cup of oats and 1.5 cups of flour and it always makes the muffins really moist (and healthier!)0

Put your dry porridge oats into a food processor or blender, whizz for a few seconds and you've got Ready Brek quick porridge!

Just change the amount of water or milk you add, or fewer oats.
Quick porridge is a way of making you pay much more for something which is less packaged and more healthy.0 -
I soak half a cup of rolled oats in a cup of water overnight. In the morning I add half a cup of milk (and salt) and zap it in the microwave - yummy, smooth porridge every timeDon't judge people on they way they look, the way they speak or what they're called because they can't help that.
Only judge people on what they say and what they do.0
