    Where you've said they said:

She asked me whether I had received the email they had sent to all customers who had ordered the vodka, saying that as a gesture of goodwill they would honour the price for 2 bottles only, and any more would be charged at the full price if not cancelled. Actually I genuinely didn't receive any email like that, and said that if I had I would have cancelled the other bottles.

I'm in the same position because I've yet to receive a mail mentioning 2 bottles only. All I had was a verbal agreement that it would be sent at £5.01 per bottle.

Since then I've received a mail that mentions that my query had been dealt with but no mention of 2 bottles or 102 bottles ;)

I'm just going with the flow now.

    Well done anyway ;D

102 bottles, now that would have been an idea! ;) :P

I think if you stick with it, and don't accept half measures, (pun not intended!), you should get what you want. That seems to be the pattern we are mostly seeing on here.

If you have no joy with the first person you speak to, then ask to speak to a supervisor. They in turn may or may not have the power to authorise your refund, but my experience has shown that they have the power to phone someone who can.

    Good luck!

Cheers Marigold (pun intended ;) )

My order was for less than 10 btw - darn. AND they were meant as gifts from work for other companies to raffle off! I might send some of the free Tesco wine instead :o ;D

P.S. I imagine those signing up and reading all this later will be straight on the phones ;)

Another of the charities water filters on it's way I think.
  • Let's not go asking for a full refund, eh!
  • ok....*changes mind again*.......gonna email.....less stressful than phoning!! (wimp)

    will let you know.... ;D

Any chance people could update with their result on this, did you get your order, was it complete, did you get partial or full refund? Or did you get fobbed off, it appears Tesco are being selective in the way they are dealing with this.

I would particularly like to hear from those who have had a full refund on this as I have been dealing with Tesco for over a month on their refund and replace policy and am looking for evidence to support an ASA complaint.

    Hello ben500

I received what I ordered and immediately mailed CS to query it. I received an automated reply saying to wait a week.

My friend, (the one who's order didn't even arrive), thought there might be a problem (as I mentioned further back in the thread), so she rang and asked whether it was worth taking delivery of what she'd ordered. She was told to take delivery and then to contact CS whereupon she would be told that she'd be debited the full amount less £50.01 as she ordered 10 bottles.

As mentioned, her order didn't arrive at all.

The day I received my order she rang CS on my behalf because she knows I get in a kerfuffle. She was told that I would also be charged £5.01 per bottle.

I received a response to my e-mail query yesterday which said:

I can see that your issue has already been addressed by one of my colleagues and trust this matter has been resolved for you.

Not being overwhelmed by this (but slightly encouraged), I mailed straight back and asked if my account would be debited to the tune of the amount mentioned by her 'colleague'. An automated mail came straight back saying I'd have to wait another week. So I've left it there for the time being.

I'm as curious as you are because I'd like to let my friend know exactly what's happening. Especially regarding those that have complained about paying for only two bottles at £5.01 and the rest either returned or paid for at the full price. And those that have received the vodka at £5.01 after realising that some people were being refunded varying amounts.

I still think it's all been nuts ;D but I realise that some people might feel as if they've been duped regardless of the circumstances in which this offer came to be.

    Look forward to any responses.

Hope some of this made sense btw.

    Just remembered something. ;D

I didn't receive what I ordered. I received one bottle less because of it being 'out of stock' I think.
Which is strange because the 10 bottles my friend didn't receive was ordered after mine!

    I'm miffed ;D
