Nice one hes like I said if NO is what you start with you can only gain, it's up to the individual to decide what effort and expenditure is worth the gamble, when your talking about just time and telephone I would say it's always worth the effort.
And don't forget be civil, be patient, be polite. Always be prepared to give a company another opportunity to screw up and they will rarely disappoint you, one screw-up is easy to explain, two a little more difficult, three and your in bargain territory any more and your demands should increase accordingly if your serious about taking back a little of what is sucked out of your income by these big companies.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Did you manage to get a full refund on your Vodka?
I ordered two bottles and got the difference refunded.
I was reading some of the threads earlier and it seems like some have managed to get a full refund.0 -

The most amazing thing happened to me this evening.Am I the only one who got their vodka substituted with some stupid blue alcopop? I'm somewhat peeved about it. I didn't even get the chance to try it on - damn!
A friend was just leaving my house and noticed a Tescos van turning round at the end of our road. Is that a Tescos delivery for you? No, I said, it's not mine, and recounted my sad story, (above).
Lo and behold, a few minutes later a smiley lady turns up with eleven bottles of vodka, and a receipt showing £14.98 each. Well I was completely confused, and wasn't even sure it was the blue label vodka, as it looked black in the light of my hall. But I decided to accept it and risk having to hump the whole lot back to Tescos and argue with the online people for a refund of my delivery charge if necessary.
Then I remembered that when I placed my original order I had been messing about with various delivery dates. It was all a bit of a palaver because when I changed the date I kept losing the £10 off voucher, and kept having to hunt around for new ones.
Anyway, I am absolutely certain that I DID cancel the first order I did, (due to arrive today, but I'd panicked about Tesco changing the price and opted for the earliest delivery possible instead). However, it seems that by sheer luck the cancellation did not go through properly, and so my original order got delivered after all, without substitutions!
When I spoke to Tescos.com Customer Service about a refund of the difference, the first man I spoke to gave me the spiel about prices being only an indication of the price charged and that the offer was only for a limited period. I (politely) stuck to my guns and said that the system knew when my delivery was due and would not have accepted the order if it had not been valid for my delivery date. I had received a confirmation email, too.
In the end he put me through to a very friendly Scots lady, who noticed that I had ordered 11(!) bottles, and I said, yes I know, I thought I had Christmas sorted for everybody, just like that!
She asked me whether I had received the email they had sent to all customers who had ordered the vodka, saying that as a gesture of goodwill they would honour the price for 2 bottles only, and any more would be charged at the full price if not cancelled. Actually I genuinely didn't receive any email like that, and said that if I had I would have cancelled the other bottles.
She was very nice about it and said she would make a phone call and to see what she could do and would call me back either this evening or tomorrow.
I got a phone call about 20 minutes later, and it was my nice lady, who said Mrs XXX? It looks like Christmas has come early, you've got your refund!
So, 11 bottles of nice vodka for presents and drinking, (not all at once!), for £5.01 a hit, and completely out of the blue, after I thought it was all over.
There IS a god (or goddess) of MoneySavers out there somewhere. And I am going to make a point of drinking his/her health very soon!
(I shall suggest to Martin that he run a competition to find the best name for a deity we can give our thanks to when it all goes right, and whose name we can curse when everything goes pear-shaped! Suggested prize - one bottle of cheap (!) vodka. NOT ONE OF MINE! :P)
Very many thanks to the person who started this thread, and to all those who shared their experiences and gave advice.
