Something really strange.
As I said earlier I managed to reserve one in my local store in Llandudno at £14.99.
Went in-store and used the quick pay tills - the system came up with £14.99. This would have been at 1.30pm today. I paid and collected - no bother. Seems strange that others showed £23.99.
I notice now that the web price is back up to £23.99. Thanks to the original poster - was great spot and I am well chuffed

What about an email off to Watchdog again? I am really peed that Argos can get away with advertising something, then not honouring it after making a special trip.
Its false advertising and just a downright lie.0 -
Website now says £29.99(with WAS £29.99 above it)
So thats worth having then.0 -
I know that this deal seems over but the following on Argos website may help your case to fight for the price(if you wish to take it further) if you still have your reservation numbers/email conf at the £14.99 price
"How can I check latest prices?
We're always lowering our catalogue prices and running special offers. With so many great deals, you might find that many items are cheaper than you thought! Luckily, argos.co.uk always has the latest prices. Wherever you see a price advertised on this website, you can be sure it is the latest price available."
I've emailed customer services on Friday quoting this, so I'll see that happens. What goes around - comes around

Wait for this....
I reserved 9, yes NINE at the Goole store last night. Turned up this morning not whether I'd get them - lad at the till told me they were £23.99, I showed him the website print out and he went to speak to the manger. Came back a few minutes later and said it had been changed on their system so grand total = £134.91 !!!
I was relieved there wasn't a "scene" and chuffed to bits!
Probbly give 2 or 3 away for Xmas, keep 1 and sell the rest on eBay in the new year.
Before I left the store I checked and they still had one left but I thought I'd had a good morning's work and leave one for someone else.
Aren't I kind?!!
Reading the latest posts it seems that I was as lucky fu~k!!0 -

Reserved my copy online(saturday) went to Foyleside (L'derry) and was charged £23.99. I produced my print out and said I reserved it less than an hour earlier. The manager checked it out online and honoured the price.(he kept the print out for proof) very happy with Argos staff at Foyleside they are very helpful and pleasant even during the christmas rush.! ;D"Food has replaced sex in my life. Now, even I can't get into my own pants."0

I quizzed the highly trained staff at Argos about this price you pay in the store mularky and they said the price NEVER goes up, but ut might be cheaper if the item becomes a sale item!0
