Thanks sofa - not a bad idea for a 13 hour odd flight and at a good price.
have taken quite a few long haul flights and wouldn't have considered these normally , but my next door neighbour developed dvt on a 3.5 hour flight to Turkey. So maybe i should, cheers

People should forget vanity and think of their health.

DVT's understimated by too many people, (apart from the nurses in hospital that insist you walk around - and wear those socks/tights etc - after what seems like 5 minutes in recovery from operations etc ;))

And on a less serious note - great find ;D

(I'll be looking for bargain luggage next lol)

Check on-line for how many seats are left in coach for your flight.

If there are few or no seats, then on check-in ask if they are full and could you help by :-

    a) Being put in the next class up?
    b) Volunteering to be bumped?

Case b) only works if you don't mind losing one day of your hol!
I usually try this when I'm coming back as I'd miss a day of work :)).

Be nice and polite and don't moan if it doesn't work

meinnit and miken - when do you get back?
We don't fly till 19th Feb - so would appreciate any feedback you have from the experience/hotels (did you get the free hotel days?)
Still think this is all a bit too good to be true, and will believe it when I actually see it if you know what I mean...

Arrive back on 2nd Feb. Managed to book 4 nights at the Ritz for a reasonable price.
