Tin Shui Wai is too far away. No undergrounds (MTR) so you probably have to spend 1 hour each way to go to most places of interest.
  • which hotel did u stay in when you went, or any you would recommend? thanks

Ok - So I got a call from BA Holidays today...Did anyone else get a call?
I booked 2 flights at £136 each for a 10 day stay and managed to get 10 days at 2 diff hotels (5 days each) for £0.00.
The lady who called me up said "There is £160 outstanding to pay for your accomodation" and when I asked her how come, she stated that the Terms & Conditions quote that there is a max £100 saving per person.
I hastily replied that I can't understand where she is referring to "discount" as I innocently went online, searched for hotels and the price I was quoted was £0.00. So that was the price I was offered and I duly accepted.
She went on to tell me that it was a mistake and that I had 2 options:
    1) could pay the difference (£160)
    or
    2) cancel my booking

I went on to say that I had no intention of cancelling my booking as I had accepted the price that I was quoted, no mention of discount, and that if there was a mistake on their website, then that had nothing to do with me - and under the terms of the sale of goods act, if they were going to dispute it - I would have no option but to take the case to Trading Standards.
She quickly backed down - and said that she had been asked to give me call by her managers - but that since I was not happy with it she would go back to them and tell them what I had said.
So....now I am wondering....are BA going to honour their commitment?
Has anyone else received a call from them?

Nope didn't receive any calls but I didnt book 10 nights either!!!
only 5 :( wish I can change it for longer now!!

    Well hopefully I won't get a call
  • If they sent you an email confiming the price you paid, then it would be seen to be a contract.
  • It is kind of a shady area, I would advise you to speak to trading standards about your rights
