I haven't been to Ikea for at least a couple of years as I do have a tendency to overspend but it's usually on tat from the market section and plants I can't look after or have any space for

Lucy and Edie look georgous sleeping there. :heartpuls

Ahh thanks Naomi, they were cute, lol.

When I go to Ikea I just want to take all those plants home and look after them and feel really virtuous and earth motherly. Instead they all die within weeks after being peed on by the cat! :rotfl:

I hope this doesn't annoy anyone further, but here's a pic of the real Cydney.

    cydthequeen-1.jpg

I think she's gorgeous. She was born in battersea dogs home 11 years ago, was rescued by a lovely man who doted on her for 5 years, but who then suddenly died. She was found by the police when they broke into his flat after he hadn't been seen for several days and returned to battersea, where we found her. She still gets nightmares. Sometimes she wakes up and starts yelling bless her.

I live on a little island far, far away from potential dog nappers, where the sea is heaving with sharks :rotfl:Aww I'm sorry Lemon Tree. You can get your own back on me by putting up pictures of cakes and chocolate...they are my real downfall, although our pets are right up there.

Today we went shopping at Mr Ts. I bought myself some brown hairdye that was on offer as I've decided I'm fed up with being blonde. I want to be dark and mysterious  We filled up with Mr Ts petrol with 5p off litre and came back via Dunelm Mill arrrrrrrrggggghhhh. I haven't quite gotten over my recent brush with debt, aka the Ikea website, so nearly bought a rug!!! I mean, honestly I can't be trusted. Thank goodness OH was there to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Oh, B'card have emailed us saying, yes please, you can BT £6000 just call customer services and they will sort it out for you. Er, no actually, customer services wont. They keep saying you have to wait for a reference number through the post. Do these people want any business?

    i love the real cydney.
i have two puddy cats at the moment, twix and crunchie. they are the only chocolate allowed in my life at the moment, i've given it up for lent and i've been good but it's a struggle, i'm a pure addict when it comes to chocolate, this is the longest i've gone without it for decades.

    Well done Lemon Tree :T
I gave up chocolate when I 'did' vegan a few years back. I was clean for 2 years :D. To compensate, I made my own little sweets by mincing up dried fruit and nuts and making them into little balls. I fell off the wagon when my mum bought me a bag of carob as a treat and I thought, why have carob when I can have chocolate lol.

Occupational therapist coming today (exactly one week after OH went to doctor, a record?) so will make this quick. Now we need photos of Twix and Crunchie for the album. Lovely names BTW. I used to have a budgie called Paxo :rotfl: seriously!

    Hi Lemon Tree and Angelflower,

    How are you both?

OT was a waste of time in some respects but at least we know a bit more where we stand regarding the house. They can't sort out a stair lift because we have converted a downstairs room into a bedroom and there is a downstairs toilet. They also cant do anything regarding getting out the back into the garden. TBH I didn't think they could help out. Too many deserving people, not enough money.

Sooo, another big chat later, OH and I are now looking at staying here in the meantime, riding out the house price drop and the penalty charges and trying to make the place as comfortable as possible...which means I might get to go to Ikea :T:T:T

I've already chosen a bright red footstool-I LURVE lots of colour-to go in our green, brown and red living room and I'm looking at sofa covers and a new king size bed for converted bedroom. OH has some money put aside which she wants to use to tart the place up. She also wants to put some towards my, sorry, our debt. This is the thing that makes me sad-she is so good and supportive. I really don't deserve her.

To put photos on I use photobucket and just paste the URL they provide for blogs and forums. I think there is a way you can link to photos by pressing the little button which looks like a mountain, above the message box, but I'm a bit carp at that sort of thing
