i've not seen the spead and bake when i've been shopping but i've found some good uses for the sundried tomato mayo and the carmelised onion mayo
the sundried i mixed with a bit of vinegar (blend well) and used as a salad dressing, very very nice
the carmelised onion mayo i've blended with a bit of garlic (granules or minced either works fine) and a bit of milk to thin (it was too tangy using the vinegar and i love vinegar) and this is excellent for salad dressing, dips for chips and veggies too
i've also added a bit of horseradish sauce with the milk and carmelised onion mayo and thats nice and you can add a touch of garlic to that if you want it too, all tasty and with me getting the garlic, horseradish sauce AND the mayo from AF it's very cheap too!
i've also found their garlic mince wonderful spread on a tortilla with baked beans and cheese, melt in the microwave for about a minute and it makes it taste so buttery and lovely mmmm0 -
has anyone tried the chicken sandwich spread pate yet?
if so, can you let me know how it tastes and what the nutritional info is?

i have been trying to place an order all week. Previously i have had no problems at all but this week google checkout keeps giving me a message says "oops" there is a problem. It advises clearing cookies etc or trying google chrome both of which i have tried but with no success. I have placed about 20 orders previously with no problems so for now I have given up.0

I can understand the excitement before you'd looked at it but I'd have to say after looking - it's a major let down.:(
I'd become quite a fan of AF (well it's cost me £150 in the last month alone!) but I'm really glad I'm reasonably stocked up (well I suppose I always think that til I see something new I fancy) because that new site is a MAJOR step backwards for me in terms of useability.
I use a netbook for browsing and for starters that stupid heading takes up the full screen meaning I spend most of my time, scrolling or paging up and down. The loss of the subcategories at the top means constant scrolling again and loss of the back button at the bottom of page, all mean navigating is a total nightmare.
I'm surprised if they realised google checkout was missing that they went ahead and deployed it anyway and just put a message up that you can't order til it's fixed. You'd have thought they have sussed this in testing and waited til it was fixed before launching.
Don't know whether the loss of the basket summary which was constantly on the left and therefore easy to glance at (which I liked) is another permanent loss and you are now going to have to keep doing a view basket to check what you've put in so far, or whether that's purely because I'm browsing.
The only positive I saw was that its now going to show the weight as your trolley grows which will be useful so that you can see how close you are to the delivery boundaries.
Suppose I'll have to wait and see if enough new arrivals appear to tempt me to persevere with the new site but for now I think I might give it a miss for a while.0 -

totally agree with that! The previous site did have a rather old fashioned look to it but it was eminently useable, which is far and away the most important thing. Sorry, Dan, but I think you've definately taken a backward step with this.
Oh and you should sack your web developers for leaving you without a major payment source over a weekend, and for even letting the site go live without checking that first - an unforgiveable and very novice-y mistake :eek:0 -

it's probably the problems with transferring things to their new system (it's got a lot of changes, mostly good!) i would try back in a week or so and hopefully it will be resolved, frustrating i know but i wouldn't give up on them all together, i think AF is MSE's national treasure0
