    quick question...........has everyone sent all the info take a break want before they pay out???

    I didn't realise you had to send them info but that makes sense as someone else said about having to send info in for payment from one of the sites. From what i have heard quite a few people have sent the info and got their payment, so all seems fine.

  • Drinking the free coffee in the office (which is the first time I've ever included that in this list, but apparently the same vending company charge a frm similar to ours 10p a cup!);
    Will check Pigsback and Quidco;
    I did order 'Rita, Sue and Bob too' on DVD from Amazon for a friend's birthday - totally chavatstic ("Ah thought ah wur great");
    Will check bank account;
    Will write to gym asking them to put my membership on hold due to injury (hip bursitis which is bad enough that it's visible!);
    Checked my Egg credit card and they've reimbursed £550 of reclaimed PPI cover to my account - outstanding balance now £705 from £2,300 in the last 8 months and it will be gone within 4 months I reckon. Woo hoo!!!!:j
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

  • I am such an idiot, I checked my capital one estatement a few days ago and noticed my estimated interest on next months had jumped. I thought I was on a 0% on purchases for 9 months. So I queried it, today I get a letter from capital one with a copy of the cca, sure enough it says the offer ends in feb, so I dig out my original copy to compare and it says the same thing. I am so silly, where the hell did I get 9 months from? Probably from the original letter and just assumed that would apply to the actual card. Read the fine print, Heidi, every time!
    Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

  • Good morning all, been away for a few days in sunny spain so im back now and full of DFW beans. Even managed to come back with loads of unspent euros which is very good, last year I would have splurged on anything just cos I was on holidays and had currency burning a hole in my pocket!

    So today I shall
    • Check online banking and move euro money to savings account
    • Renew library books and maybe reserve some more
    • Breakfast and lunch from home
    • Have even bought in our big bottle of diet coke so I don’t buy a can from vending machine at work
    • Wearing bagpuss socks!
    • Daily scratchcard – forgot yesterday!
    • Check quidco – this month will be a record breaker - £135 planned so far, plus ive changed the bank details so it will automatically go into my savings and not into the spending black hole that is my current account!
    • Read my 3 for £1 magazine that came yesterday with a hot choc after work
    • Work an extra 20 mins for the flexi credit – every little helps
    • Had a NSD yesterday – my 4th of the month, not great but the 2nd half of the month is always more frugal than the start
    • Will today be a NSD – hopefully – thinking of putting a post it with NSD!!!!!!!! on my purse to stop me buying frivolous things!
    • Will use gym membership up

    Have a good day everyone –don’t work too hard!

    Hi Everyone

    Lots of great lists going on today. I've nicked a couple of ideas from you.

    I went out with the girls last night to celebrate my engagement and they paid for everything! Was really nice of them - I did contribute with a 2for1 voucher and paid the tip!

    I've got college tonight so there isn't much money saving to do today but here are few things that I can do:
    • charge my ipod and mobile phone at work using the USB
    • loaf in BM (to merry to measure out the ingredients yesterday!)
    • try to buy some ingredients that will make a lunch and dinner today or have a good sized lunch to keep me going til 10pm
    • carry on reading my chapter on my way to class.
    • Sparkle (everyone at work thinks I'm great at the moment:j )
    Have a great Thursday everyone - not long til the weekend.

    urg x x
