I don't know what was in those sparkles yesterday SM but I've been like a whirling dervish so far today! THANK YOU!!
And thanks to everyone else for thinking of me - however did I manage anything before I discovered this thread ? HSstarsmilie.gif

Have a confession to make - have bought a new bed and it's being delivered today! From savings of course. Old one was MILs spare room one which we inherited some time ago. It was a divan and the base has caved in - sadly not from too much action methinks more like the DSs bouncing on it trampo.gifblissysmile.gifth_jumpingbedsmilie.gif

    So I have

    • moved old bed and mattress downstairs - bed to tip later and mattress on freecycle
    • hoovered and tidied bedroom - found £1.25 for my 'pot'
    • did front room while I was at it as DSs had been in there last night up to no good
    • have got all ingredients ready to make Yorkshire Curd Tart and to pressure cook a ham but don't want to start till bed men have been ( before 12 they've said!)
    • pesto and pinenut bread in BM
    • 1st load of hokey cokey underway HSwash.gif
    • checked bank all OK and as expected
    • checked 'The Paupers cookbook' (from library naturally) for interesting recipes

    later I will
    • cook - see above
    • finish bed for sister & her DH
    • more hokey cokey
    • look at cheap but good ways to celebrate DHs (special) birthday which is coming up soon
    • enjoy being at home with my lovely DSs and not being at w*rk!

    See you all later

    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

    Morning you lovely lot

    Today I will / have:
    * drank free Crussh juice - for recycling my Londonpaper at the branch near work - didn't have juice at home this morning so saved there!
    * checked online banking, work out next months payments to CCs for me and OH
    * check on eBay - maybe reduce one of my fixed price listings
    * microwave jacket potatoes for dinner, so I can finish them off in oven tonight - save gas!

That's about it for me! x
  • Morning everyone.

Off to work an hour early today- unfortunately that doesn't mean any extra pennies as I don't get overtime, but I can finish an hour early tomorrow!Yay!

    - [strike]Do Scratchies- Virgin - £1, TaB- 25p[/strike]

-[strike]Keep an eye on eBay sellers- a few watchers but no bids thus far[/strike] Sold two items today

-[strike]Storecupboard meals- just had brunch, roll to take to work and no idea what tea will be. Lots of free coffee throughout the day at work [/strike]coffee1.gif

    -[strike]NSD[/strike] :j

-Also looked out a couple of old uni books for a work colleague and listed four other books on Amazon

    - As am at work till 9pm that will probably be my lot, spent hours doing some very interesting SoA planning last night- it was a big eye-opener. I had budgeted £150 per month for entertainment, cothes etc but this month so far we have spent over £500! That is a big difference, and that extra £350 odd should be going on debt. Time to tighten the purse strings me thinks!

    Happy Thursday
