  • Devils Vixen - You really are very ignorant - I have absolutely no intention of posting my personal details here for your delectation (it means 'picking over' or savouring), perhaps you would then understand why I & others use the board (I don't have any great hopes though).Yes, hands up I did work several jobs at once - did you (ever)? Interesting you made no mention of trying for anything better than a life on benefits - hey ho I didn't think you would! Have a good life - there is a world out there - try to see it.

Encouraging people to milk the system for all they can get isn't popular here, whether or not it's allowed!

  • Apart form my ealier post I have avoided posting again on theis board, however have been given cause to all due to devils-vixen's responses.

Devils-vixen you don't seem to understand why some people have responded the way they have to the OP.

The issue most of us had with the OP was their wanitng to CHOOSE to only work 20 hours per week then expect the benefit system to help them! The system is not there so we can pick and choose and then expect the goevernment to boost your income.

If the OP had showed some inclination to want to work rather than claim benefits so they can CHOOSE a cushy 'only doing a job I love' for 20 hours a week the original responses may have been different.

In an ideal world I am sure there are many people who have to work full time to put a roof over their heads but would rather stay at home and rear their children. However not an option. I am sure there are people who have to work away on contracts to pay the bills...in an ideal world they would get a job nearer home but isn't an option.

The OP casued issue as I said as the benefit system is not there to solely be used to fund people's lifestyle choices.

There are people out there who are full time students and then have to work 20 hours per week to fund themselves and have families to look after. Fair play to these people, I admire them. Not those who CHOOSE to only work 20 hours then act like Oliver Twist....

'PLEASE SIR CAN I HAVE SOME MORE'.

You work for DWP and you're applauding that kind of rubbish?!

Happily encouraging people to "milk the system"? Hmmmm... one can only hope that your attitude is not typical of DWP employees. Or failing that, if you are stupid enough to be accessing MSE from work and openly supporting benefit fraud, perhaps you will get caught out...
If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.

This thread has just turned into a slanging match from what i have read, its much worse than yesterday, totally pointless, people just arguing for the sake of it, sAng_stirthepot.gif, a lot of that going on, if people are that bothered, just rise above any negative, judgemental comments and leave it at that !
It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

Only just come to this thread but would like to say to devil's vixen the same as many others have, that he/she is the one making judgements.

Benefit board regulars are here because they want to give helpful advice.

'You will not be entitled to any more benefits - if you want to move to a place you can't afford you will have to increase your hours' IS helpful advice.

We do not 'despise' benefit claimants otherwise we would not be here on this board, but you have to be realistic too!

Please do not come here with the judgemental attitude you accuse others of having.
has anyone realised that annabelluk has not once responded to any of this? i find that unusual to say the least think we have been set up, any thoughts?
