Have you ever considered going on an anger management course?

I find it ironic that you are throwing a tantrum about the perfectly reasonable replies the OP got, while hurling your own toys out of the pram, metaphorically speaking.

If the OP wants to work part time, good luck to her. Just don't expect OTHER PEOPLE to pay for her choice. Simple as that.

Well tough luck. She is entitled to the benefit so you don't really have a choice to pay for her or not if you pay tax! So you think that it is acceptable to judge someone do you? I don't need anger management courses but what you all need is a course in how to change your attitude when it involves people on benefits!

She is entitled to what benefit? Her OP was asking whether there was anything extra she could claim, and to my knowledge no-one has come up with anything.

I'm still not sure her assumptions re housing benefit and council tax will stand up when she actually goes to claim them, but if her circs are such that they do, then fair enough. I won't say I am happy about it but I appreciate that the system works in very strange ways.

Oh and btw of course it is okay to judge people. Doesn't everyone do it all the time? Aren't you doing it yourself about the rest of us?

No but you could do with some lessons in engaging brain before opening mouth (or tapping keyboard in this case).

If you had only taken a quick peep around this board, you would realise how daft many of your statements are. You have formed an opinion based on this thread and are now making assumptions that others know to be completely untrue.

You're just making yourself look silly because most people on here know such rubbish only have come from someone who is severely ill informed!

But still, you carry on if it makes you happy...

What's with you and the smilies all of a sudden? Is this a new discovery? :p:D
  • But most of you are p!$$3d at the fact she is even entitled to HB! I have not judged anybody - I have spoken up for the OP whom you all decided to criticise for working part time and rent accommodation!

No I am not judging anyone never once judged anyone on here but I will speak up to anyone whom think they are above everyone else because they had 3 jobs and didn't finish until 2am etc! Good for you, well done, give yourself a bone! The facts are, the system is there to help those whom are maybe less fortunate to have thousands in the bank every month or have the OH providing for us but at least the OP has A job so what if it is part time? At least she enquired about any more benefits that she may or may not be entitled to whilst working and not on here saying that she will just give up work all together and claim everything because she can't afford it!!!

If she gave up work altogether intending to "claim everything", as you put it, she would be sanctioned for up to six months for voluntarily making herself unemployed. After that she would have to sign on for income related JSA, and would be required to look for work elsewhere. The benefits system is not some sort of free lunch, and claimants are monitored constantly to ensure they are not taking the p!ss.

As for the system being there to help those who are less fortunate - I quite agree. That is why someone who is fortunate enough to have nothing preventing her from working full time, is not being encouraged to scrounge from it.

Yeah I came up with the same answer ..... so well done to you for sitting on your backside - all talk no action :T Do you get to a certain age where you have nothing better to do other than criticise other people's circumstances? Oh what an exciting life you must lead:rolleyes:

Actually you HAVE seen fit to judge many other posters, posters who regularly give factually correct and useful advice, which, whether it's what the OP wants to hear or not, is far more helpful than the vitriolic rants you spew forth!

As a relatively regular poster on these forums I must say how thoroughly fed up I am getting of the recent influx of new users whose only posts are at best pointless and usually factually incorrect and at worst blatantly antagonistic. In fact most of these posts appear to be little more than an illiterate rant ending in accusing regulars of "being sad" or "having no lives".

In the case of this thread, you seem to have completely missed the point. The OP has CHOSEN to move into single rented accommodation, despite the fact that her salary (combined with the few benefits she's entitled to) doesn't cover her monthly outgoings. To anyone with a brain in their head, this is sheer madness! But to you? Well obviously we're all just benefit bashers with no lives...

*Sits back and awaits the backlash*
If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.

    And again...!!!!

You are making assumptions about us that are incorrect in many cases!

What part of that are you struggling to comprehend?

Where on earth have you got the idea we all have several jobs and have a mortgage on our semi-detached houses, or thousands in our bank accounts, for example. That's just three statements you have come out with to apparently back your argument, but they are personal [strike]insults [/strike]opinions devised by yourself and most other people know they exist nowhere but in your head.

Now, do you see my point?
  • Only just come to this thread but would like to say to devil's vixen the same as many others have, that he/she is the one making judgements.

Benefit board regulars are here because they want to give helpful advice.

'You will not be entitled to any more benefits - if you want to move to a place you can't afford you will have to increase your hours' IS helpful advice.

We do not 'despise' benefit claimants otherwise we would not be here on this board, but you have to be realistic too!

Please do not come here with the judgemental attitude you accuse others of having.
