Wednesday 18/2/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking -
  • update spreadsheets
  • move some money to savings and different pots
  • share car with another manager to meeting at work
  • lunch at manager's meeting at work
  • storecupboard tea
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • ironing for me
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing
  • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • aim for no spend day
  • clean one room so no housework at weekend
  • sparkle a lot HSstars.gif - stripey socks under my work clothes
Good morning lovely dfw'sjumping0044.gif, off to a manager's meeting today for the day, will ger lunch provided and sharing jouney there with another manager so will half travel costs.
Not much else planned for the day - hope you all have a good day.

Hugs to anyone who is feeling poorly or down - hope you feel better soon.

Welcome to any new posters and hi to all the regulars - got to run so catch you later.:D

Fay, my chickens will be very jealous of your chickens' gourmet breakfast - they only have boring old pellets today, unless I can find an old crust in the bread bin.
  • HI Dawn
Ah its more - ok how much OD stuff is there lurking in jars in the cupboard and inspired porrige - don't use pellets! I guess I should to keep them getting all their vitamins - I give them free grain from work (should I give them extra?) still laying through the winter which is very odd. my old chickens use to stop.

I do worry about them getting their vitamins, I do buy some of the grit they need......any advice gladly given. :)

  • Fay -
Think chookies stop laying during winter due to the lack of daylight - don't you get longer daylight hours up orkney way? which would account for keeping laying I suppose.
