:hello: Hi all!
DD1 rang this morning bewailing the amount of the electricity bill. She thinks it's due to their electric cooker, (though they do often have 3 computers on all at the same time, and they need to have the lights on all day because of DSIL's eyesight), so DSIL was going to ring NPower about moving onto a cheaper tariff, and I suggested using some of their savings to buy a Remoska, as so many of you are so happy with them. DD didn't know what a Remoska was, so I told her all the good things I've read about them, while she looked at them on the Lakeland website. She must have dragged DSIL straight off to Bluewater on the bus, as I had a text from her an hour later sayng they now own a Remoska GrandI hope they'll enjoy learning how to use it, and it does sound as if it saves a lot of energy and is very versatile. TBH I'd get one myself if only I had anywhere to put one!
Chaos in the living room yesterday and today, as DH decided it was time to go through all his old paperwork and shred the stuff that's no longer needed, so there are piles of paper all over the floor  He was a little embarrassed to find receipts for things he'd bought 15 years ago:rotfl:
Tired mum - (((HUGS))), hope you feel better v soon, thank goodness Spring's on its way!
katholicos - Hope the scan was okay. Thinking of you!

Hester - I wish DD a speedy recovery! Thank goodness she has you there to help, though you must be very tired (((HUGS)))
Peyton -I'd love the recipe for the pork, pepper and onion thing you made, if you've time to post it - or do you sort of make it up as you go along, as I do sometimes?
SOMO1 - Congratulations!
ladymay - good luck with the play!

Dinner will be shepherd's pie, with the leftover lamb from Sunday - I wasn't sure if it would still be okay, but it's been in the fridge in an airtight conainer and it smells fine. I'll put some carrots and lentils in with it. We bought a couple of pasties this morning as I wasn't well when i first woke up and didn't know if i'd manage to cook tonight, but thankfully i feel better now0 -
Congratulations D&DD, and Halight too0

Morning. All is well here, woke up a bit earlier than the past few days, stomach feels just slightly out of sorts.. Bottle of wine and too many crisps perhaps.
The crisps must have been off.
Hello everyone
Another quickie from me....
I had an interview this morning - when I was in the corridor waiting to go in I double checked the time....and found I had two watches on:rotfl::rotfl:. What a plank I can be - I got ready in a hurry. Luckily my shoes matched (some days they don't:rolleyes:).
Dinner tonight...some sort of concoction made from some or all of the following ingredients: wrinkly yellow pepper, celeriac, sweet potato, onion, lentils, tinned peas or tinned chick peas. I've got some curry sauce which I bought (oh go on smack my naughty bum!) from M&S so perhaps I could invent an Irish Veggie Curry.
I really really must tidy up my desk, it is depressingly chaotic.
Hope everyone is OK...bye for now.

Evening all,
gosh, where has the week gone - the past 3 days have hurtled past I have been so busy!! 2 days off to look forward now plus the weekend
I have my mum's homemade lasagne baking through in the oven, she knew I had my other work to do tonight as well, so saves me sorting dinner.
DD's have actually been doing some bits in the house while they're off - not loads but enough for it to be a miracle!!
Katholicos, hope you got on ok. xx
SOMO1, well done to you, and also D&D
I echo what was said above (somewhere...) - all those MIA, look forward to seeing you posting again soon.
So tired, time for more tea & supper, then find the energy to do some typing...

Think twice before spending anything!0 -
Hope it went well Katholicos
(((hugs))) to people feeling down.
Well done and also good luck to lots of peeps on here today!!
I've had my tea - very frugal - home made white sauce with about a third of a tin of tuna and a sauteed onion, poured over pasta. Nice and stodgey and exactly what I fancied. I usually buy cheap tinned tuna but this was Princes in sunflower oil and was so delicious I kept eating it out of the tin. I usually buy tuna in brine but will stick to oil from now on.
Last night I had a bit of a blitz clean in the kitchen and found it really kind of soothing and refreshing to see it this morning. Tonight I have some writing to do but will also do small blitz on livingroom and see if I am instantly calmed again tomorrow morning!
Other plans include dog walking and pyjamas on nice and early. I fell asleep on the settee last night for an hour or so about 7pm. Kind of nice thing to do actually - fell asleep to the noise of the washing machine going in the kitchen. Should make a tape of it for insomnia:p
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening
