As standard when you join Avon you should get 20 brochures for your first campaign, and 20 for your second campaign, thats all Avon refunds Sales Leaders for - if you are lucky you will get signed up by someone who takes the risk of being out of pocket and provide you with extra brochures.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I was signed up by the ASM so maybe that's the difference. Must be the only benefit though!0

Face reality, your going to have to work for next to nothing for 6 months just to get a customer database.
That's what I got told by a moderately successful Kleenezee seller.
That's what they tell you, and it's believable. They make it sound like a person who buys from you once will buy from you forever. So the longer you do it the bigger your customer database gets, until you reach the point where you are only delivering catalogues to regular customers.
Then you try it and find out most people don't buy more than once or twice. people drop out of your customer database as fast as they drop in. So you have to continually do what you do in the first 6 months just to stand still. But all the time your "area" is getting bigger and bigger as you go further afield to find new customers to add to your database, just to replace the ones that have dropped out.
Eventually one of two things happen, you reach the point where you physically can't go any further, you have reached the limits of your "area". Or you encroach into another reps "area" and either get your catalogues stolen by them or just upset the people because you put a catalogue through their door when they had one two days earlier.
Either way, you have reached the point where you can't add more people to your customer database, but the ones that are already in it are still dropping out at the same rate.
If you have believed what they tell you, that all it takes is hard work and a good plan of action, and you stick it out until this point, then you have the pleasure of watching you earnings go down the pan.0 -

You will earn while building a customer base but should expect to reinvest back into the Biz to keep your brochure stock up etc but thats no difference really than say a part time job where you will have travel costs probably, new clothes if you haven't worked a while.
Its always best to start these Businesses off around existing commitments to build it without having too much pressure on you for making an income very quickly. It can be a useful second income if you do it this way but you do have to be prepared to put in the work when other people are perhaps watching TV in the evenings etc but i enjoy what i do now and don't see it as work, its something i choose to do, i didn't enjoy Kleeneze as the products didn't really make me excited and i found the quality quite poor so it was a chore for me in the end. If you find a Company and product that you feel passionate about and is doing something worthwhile it makes all the difference.

I previously tried Betterware some years ago. I found I spent many hours delivering and collecting catalogs often not even getting them back, and that on several occasions I made very little money in return.
Our local Kleeneze rep has been doing it for years and makes quite a bit from what I understand but don't know for sure. I really can't comment on Avon myself as know nothing about the way they work.
I personally think you need to look at all the options available and choose the right thing for you and the area in which you really want to work. And will give you the flexibility in hours and time spent too.
I have found that for me party plan works quite well and you can start off with varying outlays depending on the company you choose, some of them are free some are not. Yo choose how much time you spend working and when. Also some of them work relly well through catalog drops like avon, etc does too. Thing is you don't even have to know lots of people you can offer to friends, family and fellow students , these lead to more new people who you can offer parties too so it can lead to quite good incomes but these are never definate in either case.
Whatever you choose to do make sure you want to sell it and like the products, enjoyment will always help you to do better.
Look at all the options and different companies.
There is a party plan link on here too which can give you some more ideas too.:rotfl:

I have been doing Kleeneze for a year now and am still finding it very difficult to hit the monthly 10% bonus (which is achieved by making approx. £200 per week sales). Part of the trouble with Kleeneze is that they keep talking about the 21% profit you will achieve from sales as a new starter but please remember, this is NOT profit, as you must deduct costs (which are large) such as petrol, internet costs and delivery charges, not even to mention the cost of catalogues as you lose quite a lot due to people not returning them no matter how often you call for them. As a new starter, a large percentage of the commission you make will be swallowed by costs. Once you have made new customers, they do not order every time, so it is a constant struggle. Some people do well, good luck to them as they work extremely hard for their money. The large earnings come when you start to recruit people and you are encouraged to recruit your 'warm'
list (which is basically friends and family). Personally the effort and cost required to earn such small amounts would have to be much less for me to consider involving people who I cared about in this. If they had the same results I've had I don't think they would be too pleased with me!0 -

You'll get results BUT no cash outlay :money:
Rumours are Kleeneze wont see the year out :rotfl:
