Just thought I would comment on betterware.
Yes it’s free to start, No cash outlay & lots of promise’s how it WILL work for you.
I started with betterware, My SL promised me flexibility, No targets & No outlay.
The next day at 6:45 am, I had a knock at my door, 1000 books, 4 boxes of order forms, 4 boxes of catalogue wallets, stamps ect.
I had so much stuff, I had to store it in the garage due to not having enough space.
At my first interview I was assigned 100 house’s - This was signed via both of us on the contract forms, However over night, My SL changed that to 1000 weekly.
I was assured this was easy doing, Other girl’s in the near area was doing at least 2500.
Reality is 100 doors is enough (Maybe too much) If the company has a bad reputation in your area.
Long story short, I was worse off, Infact I got a “BETTERWARE” debt thanks to my SL. Plus, I still have all the stock I cant get rid off.
Many people will say “maybe I was just unlucky” Maybe I was, However, I later met very angry rep’s & customers who had also had the run around from betterware.
Good Luck with what ever you choose to do, I hope my experience help’s you a little more! :beer:Future goals:

Hi Princess
Doesn't sound like Betterware to me TBH
Are you in Bristol my contact @ Betterware knows the Regional manager for Bristol???
From my experience firstly Betterware doesn't have Sales Leaders in Bristol who would dump 1000 books on your doorstep.
This sounds like you was taken on as a TSA. If you was taken on as a TSA then yes that makes sense. TSA are targetted at around the 1000 houses per week mark. Some areas can be a lot lot less houses than this espcially rural areas
100 houses is approx 30mins/1 hours work to put out & TBH not really worth doing in anyones interest
Betterware are reknowned for having a no quibble 12 month guarantee on all products. If you make contact with them you will get your money back for your product you still have
IMO I have never met anyone who was out of pocket with Betterware simply because you dont have to outlay any money for their products
IMO the only people that have had debtor call on them via Betterware are the people that have had goods & not paid their money back to Betterware
If you want me to find out more I will do for you, it should be very easy to find this info out
Regards

Hi John,
I was taken on as a rep! I wouldn’t have minded if I was a TSA, But I wasn’t.
I was out of pocket due to my Team Leader. I got over £322 worth in orders, But when the products come, Many of them was faulty, broken in rubbish condition.
Because the people who had ordered was livid, That they had to wait again (TL only put everyone‘s ordered in once a month)
10 weeks after I had collected the books, I was still waiting for my leader to deliver the goods to me.
What I didn’t know was:-
She delivered some goods behind my back, Taking my commission.
Other items, She gave to me, But I was told the company was very angry with me for breaking the original items, I would now need to pay for them!? :O
(They all came to me, Unpackaged * I tried telling my sl I wouldn‘t deliver faulty goods, So she asked me to pay for them as I would be keeping them)
All in all, I had to give 2 customers £x back out of my own money & my sl leader had the nerve of saying she felt bad for me, Giving me £15 commission
Like I have said, I have spoken to many different ex betterware reps, Each said the same, They would never touch better ware again with a bargepole!Future goals:

I have had a read through this thread and I just wanted to say that I started with !!!!!!!! in November last year.
!!!!!!!! sell a range of natural Swedish cosmetics via catalogue sales. The thing that attracted me to it was that it was FREE to join, I got my first 15 catalogues for free, I wasnt given a set area to cover so I can show the catalogues to whoever I want and there is no pressure to meet a certain sales target either.
The commission is 23% for sales over £50 which increases to 30% for sales over £125 plus there are free gifts and special offers available for consultants too. If you want to you can recruit your own team and earn 5% of their sales too so that's extra income as well. There is no pressure to have your own team if you don't want to.
Some people are just happy distributing the catalogues to friends and family members but you can do house to house if you want to, the choice is yours!
Just wanted to say that there are other direct selling companies out there apart from the ones already mentioned!

I started kleeneze 12 weeks ago, only had the option to buy the larger more expensive starter pack, which I didn't really want.
It went well at first, however I had yet to make back my initial outlay and because I work fulltime I can only deliver for a couple of hours a week. I'm now getting charged £7.65 for the use of the website and don't really have enough orders to get the free delivery (a lot of stuff seems to be out of stock right now which doesn't help). So with the delivery charges plus website charge I'm making no profit and I've realised now that its not going to work for me. I'm going to cancel my account so overall I've lost £100 approx and about 5 hours a week each week. I feel abit annoyed as I don't remember being told about these charges (could be wrong but the first I knew of it was when I tried to log in today and was told I couldn't) but if you have more free time and can get alot of orders I can see how it would make you money.0 -

Hi Laurac86
Unfortunately you are simply another person suckered in & spat out the other side.
There is another thread on here with some other horror stories
If you only lost £100 you must count yourself as very lucky
I know people that I have come across that keep buying books on the advice of their uplines in the hope of........ MAKING IT :rotfl:
I have never ever met anyone
I have an afinity through a close friend @ Betterware, pls feel free to give them a try the only thing you can lose with them is your free time

Hi PrincessX87
I have to say that when I replied to this my mate @ Betterware looked at your comments & contacted the person that runs Bristol.
If this was the case then Betterware ought to know about what their managers were doing.
According to him this is not Betterware & are you sure this is Betterware???
Betterware do not have Team Leaders or SL (Sales Leaders) they have Area Coordinators & if you was a distributor he finds this very strange as the person that runs your area has been with Betterware for many many many years
If any of the products were broken they can be simply re-ordered in the next week without any question & as ever you dont pay for anything up front
The products are never normally unpackaged as the goods are packed direct @ Betterware to the individuall agent
Betterware places orders every week so you say you were waiting 10 weeks??? Doesn't sound correct even to me
My contact says the only time normally that an Area Coordinator would ever deliver the products direct to the customer is when a distributor has left.
If you want to drop me a PM I'm more than happy to find out more for you as he says its very very easy to track down names of distributors that have worked for Betterware
Lots of thing you write, I cannot obviousley dispute BUT they simply do not add up with the way Betterware opertates ever
Pls come back to me again
