... I think I'll take a yoghurt with me tomorrow and see how it is and perhaps give Wednesday's a miss (and take an extra kitkat instead...if I take an orange one, it might count towards my five a day :D).

Might? What do you mean might?! Break it in half and it's positively two portions surely? ;)

I've not been on for ages - I'm so busy at work and I'm trying not to get too obsessed with posting cos OH was getting miffed, but I had to come on cos I had my scan today :D

It all went fine – the baby is well and there were no anomalies or things to be concerned about, which is all good.

We didn’t want to find out the sex and the sonographer couldn’t see anyway which was great as it meant we couldn’t accidentally see as the baby moved around. Not that it really moved! It was awake at 10.30 but my scan wasn’t till midday (by the time they saw me) and by then it was asleep again.

She tried prodding it which did wake it up a little bit but not a lot so she has written on my notes that it was lying awkwardly :rotfl:

She did all the measurements and we saw the heart and kidneys and brain and diaphragm, which was amazing!

The head is a little small, but the femur is spot on for 20 weeks and the other measurements were OK too, although I still don’t agree with their dates. They have me now as 20+2 but I am sure I am 21 today. My early scan showed that date and it fits with when we got jiggy – their dates would mean the sperm had to live inside me for SIX DAYS which surely isn’t possible?!?!

The only slight problem is that it is lying breech. Now I know that this early on they can turn and all will be fine, but I have my heart set on a home birth and I definitely don’t want a C-section so now I’m worried it will stay that way.

It does explain the extreme pain I sometimes get in my pelvis when it feels like feet being pushed down there hard – IT IS feet!!! :rotfl:

Anyway, here's some pix (they're not great cos the paper is shiny so the light reflects off it):

Because of the risk of salmonella if the yolks are cooked until solid..

Yep, as Elle says, they're fine if you have them solid but for me personally a fried egg (and a boiled egg) loses its purpose if it's not dippable!

    I agree 100%

Gorgeous pics skint chick. The difference in detail between the first and second scans is amazing, isn't it.

When I had my 20wk scan they didn't say which way baby was laying, so I've no idea what direction the feet are at the moment!
