Lovely story Luc, thank you. And congratulations!

I have tidyed half the lounge... and I'm not dressed... And I have people coming round tonight.... Whats wrong with me?!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks Sami, they would love children so I won't be to surprised to hear the news, but they do live an hours drive away, I have already been invited to stay but only when baby is here lol.

Wow Lucifa Nathan is beautiful, your birth story had me filling up. Reading the birth stories gets me so excited even though I have another 21 weeks to go.

    Off to look up "Hypnobirthing"

Not at 32 weeks, but 2 or 3 weeks early to get his pregnancy lark over and done with a bit sooner would be good:rotfl:
Said woman is having twins tho so its pretty much guaranteed she'll be about 4 weeks early.

Mrs Moc: hypno birthing is supposed to be fantastic it basically teaches you how to give birth as nature intended not how we have been taught throught the media etc. ie not screaming like a loon :rotfl:(which is how I did it :D)

ooh I forgot to say you know my naughty friend who secretly found out the gender.. well she has been told its almost certain that she'll have to have a c/s coz her hips are too small for a baby to fit through!

Thanks Sami, just had a look on ebay and there
is some books and cds on hypnobirthing. I think this will be well worth looking into, I panicked more than once during last my labour. Someone had told me to breathe through the pains, but I hadnt a clue what they meant.

I had epidurals with the first 2 and decided to go natural with the 3rd, it was quite a shock.

I think it sound really good, I mean I truly beleive that how we give birth should be like how you see animals give birth - quiet and calm.
I haven't looked into it for myself as my last (ans 1st) labour was so short and I used gas n air only I'm hoping this onw will be even quicker and fingerscrossed pretty painless :p

  • I'm feeling very relaxed now - I bought the ministry of sound chill out album from Tescos the other day (with my shopping!) it was £7 for a 3 disc album and it really does the job for me. Thought hubby would hate it but he is liking it too!

Wanted something really relaxing for the birth but not too slow IYSWIM. I also cringe at the idea of singing along so most of these are instrumental which suits me fine!

    Now for some ironing!

Hope it works out like that for you Sami, and me lol.

I only had the gas and air last time and although it was quite quiet apart from a few swear words which slipped out, I found the labour pains before the pushing part, hard to get through IYSWIM. The actual pushing I was fine as I felt I was doing something, but the run up to it, I had no concentration or focus and literally freaked out sobbing at each contraction.

I would like this time to be different.

I always thought that screaming was just a waste of energy! How can you be putting all your energy into a push if your screaming? With DS1 the woman next to me was a screamer. Non stop screaming, she must have been knackered before she was even pushing (she was there from about 10am untill after I left at 11pm). I had to wonder if she screamed that much getting baby in there :rotfl:
