  • There seems to be a lot of poorly kids around at the moment - hope they all get better soon.

I have just finished my last bit of 'proper' work for work (some invoicing that I could have sent back to the office if I needed to) - I have been spacing it out and doing a bit when I fancied it...now I might start to get really frustrated :o

I am cooking a ham for tea - smells delish!

Congrats Elle - Boys are wonderful...I will be having my 3rd so maybe i'm a bit biased, but my friends little girl (same age as my ds1) is a little *ahem* madam;)

Are you shocked or disappointed in any way? because I know you said your oh and others were convinced it was going to be a girl.

I repeated what the scan blokey said like I wasn't sure I'd heard him correctly.. I asked if he could tell but baby wasn't being too co-operative (lying face down in the fetal position) so I thought he was going to say he couldn't tell then he suddenly said "I'm 95% sure that it's a boy!" - it took me by surprise that he'd gone from not knowing to knowing so quickly (I obviously didn't catch sight of what he did! ;)).

I'm a bit surprised I guess as I was probably 80% thinking it was a girl but I think that might be OH's brainwashing! I suppose that niggly feeling I had that "it might be a boy!" had some truth in it! :) I'm not disappointed.. it'll just take a bit more getting used to than if I'd been told it was a girl. Just not what I was expecting, I guess!

Happy all the same :) Apparently "he has two of everything he should have and one of everything else - oh, and ten of the rest!" :T Saw him yawning and putting his hand across his face too.

Elle - the sonographer at my 20 week scan pointed out Bubbas penis (put the 2 crosses there so the machine drew the line between them) and we both went 'oh yeah' but both confessed afterwards that we couldn't 'see' it :o

When I went for my first 4D scan Bubba crossed his legs when she went to have a look  but then the sonographer was laughing saying - no doubt that HE's a boy then when he moved...again Hubby and I laughed along but secretly didn't have a clue!!

My 2nd 4D scan the sonographer checked for us again and was laughing at Bubba showing off his boy bits....we laughed along....I have watched the DVD loads of times and now I think I know what she is talking about...but I still can't be 100% sure!!

I guess my point is that it is so obvious to them even if they just have the quickest of glances, for us laymen it is not so easy, even when you are being told what to look at!!

LOL, just got this txt from my SIL - my sister's wife, who is the more blokey one of the two..

"Woo hoo - I knew it'd would be a boy! I've secretly always wanted a boy. They're so affectionate and there's better clothes and he's more likely to want the guitar I'm gonna get him.. and the drumkit.. and the sax. Not to mention all those rock concerts and the time I'll dye his mohican.. blah blah. Oh, I can't wait to be an aunty! *sigh* xx"

Aah that is lovely Elle, it's funny because I had everyone telling me they were sure it was a girl this time, but I so adamantly protested that I was sure it was a boy that I have actually brainwashed everyone else:) I haven't actually told anyone else that we know it is a boy.

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Ooo - and elle be sure to tell OH the theories about boys being made by fantastic sex!!!

Mel - which of your boys is which? Seems funny seeing them all the time instead of you!!

I phoned my mum to tell her - she's happy cos "boys cardi's are easier to knit!" (amongst other reasons!) :)

    Then I phoned my dad..
    Me: Hiya
    Dad: Hi. You okay?
Me: Yeah.. everything's fine and it's a boy!
    Dad: Oh..
Me: What?! [majorly panicking that he was disappointed]
Dad: I didn't want to know.. you weren't meant to tell me!

ARGH!! He'd said that the other day but I thought he was just joking - never for one minute thought he was serious!! :( It's not as if my mum would have been able to keep it to herself for more than four minutes tonight when he gets in from work anyway!
