    That's mine done then!

    Birth Partner: Husband
Students: Fine, no more than 3
Labour: As mocile as possible, at home for as long as possible
Preferred Delivery: Water Birth or Mobile eg Combi Track
Pain Relief: Entinox. Pethidine if required (prefer not to). Epidural as last resort.
Intervention: I would like to discuss options first but ultimaltely what is best for baby.
Delivery: Onto chest. Midwife to cut cord unless husband expresses a wish to.
Third Stage: I would like to try to deliver placenta naturally (esp if in Birth Pool) but to review regularly
Skin to Skin: With husband if I am indisposed
    Feeding: Breastfeeding ASAP
    Baby: Vitamin K Injection

My husband will be able to answer on my behalf.
I would like to go home as soon as possible.
Sounds good to me:cool: What is Combi Track tho?
Can I ask if you have other options besides pethadine? I've heard bad things hence me saying meptid (doubt I'd need it tho!)

  • Nothing other than pethidine has been discussed here Sami - TBH if I get my way and have a water birth that isn't an option either. I'm a tough old bird!!

The combi track is a german piece of kit that has a birthing ball and a stool and a place for your birth partner to support you etc... Like a pece of gym equipment to keep you mobile. Our hospital has a few of them in rooms where the beds are tucked away so you can move around.

Edit - carp piccie but a quick google for birthing equipment brought up my local hospital and the combi track as the 3rd result!!!

  • My god - look at the time - I need my beauty sleep, I am hoping to give birth tomorrow ;)

I am trying the tactic of telling Bubba that I don't want him to come today...in the hope that he will do the opposite just to be arkward!!!

    Night all!

Anyone willing to give me odd for a bet that SB will be back on the EDD list before I give birth??

I'm thinking 4:5 odds on fave :rotfl:

MFD: its a shame you aren't offered meptid but as I'm sure you can guess, a lot don't get if because it costs 3x pethadine

i hope you don't need anything more than gas n air like moi
If this baby isn't as easy or easier to deliver as Chris I'll probably die of shock coz I haven't even considered ti!

What about that woman in California (where else) that had the 8 babies a few weeks ago?

We didnt hear too much about it until recently. I heard on the news that she has 6 older kids including 1 set of twins, oldest is 7 years, all have some form of disability.
She also said that she hasnt gone near a man or had sex in over 8 years, her kids are her life and she has had IVF.
Apparently there are massive protests outside her 3 bedroom rundown house, and she has been recieving death threats.
She maintains that she has only been collecting food stamps in order to send her oldest child to a special school for disibility, and claiming no other benifits.
She also claimed that she is looking for a part time job... (lol with 14 kids under 7) she has about 10 ful time jobs already at least.
I dont know what I make of all that, I dont think its right that people should be angry at her personally, The IVF thing is not quite right in my head..
She has obviously paid as there is no NHS there but still, it just doesnt seem ok.
