Hey Sami,
thanks for that, i've checked all of those and they say i should put on just over a stone over the whole pregnancy, I am overweight but not by a huge huge amount, i'm a size 16 though so lumpy and bumpy all the same. I just find it hard when the pregnancy books and e-mail updates are coming through this week saying I should have put on anywhere between 2-6lbs by now and I'm thinking "god, i've lost more than that!"
I'm not being sick at all, I have only had nausea even in the first 12 weeks, but i just have no appetite and am not able to manage anything more than a very small portion before I'm so full i think i'm going to burst....
OH doesn't know what to do with me....I normally LOVE my food (hence the lumpy, bumpy body )
Hi Hypno
I'm 27 weeks and have lost 4lbs so far (just checked myself on wii fit - but didn't do any 'training' - not sure I'm up to hula hooping now!:rotfl: :rotfl: )
I put on 10lb & 6lb with my 1st 2 and lost weight with no 3(maybe half a stone in total- lost more and then put a tiny bit on in last trimester) - like you I could lose a bit (I'm not saying you're fat, btw) and still have some lumps & bumps - I've been between a 14 & 18 for the pgs - but not a lot of gain/ some loss always means you can fit into pre pg clothes dead quick tho' - sometimes even going down a size:j :j
MWs & GPs don't seem to be fussed about it if you're baby is growing and you have some spare flesh to begin with, in my experience. Mine said she'd be more concerned if I was stacking it on, or not gaining and was a skinny minnie to begin with. (My consultant had a nice way of putting it - he says I'm more of a Nigella than a Kylie:D ) The baby will almost always take from you as a priority. Lack of food won't help your energy levels though - what about sunflower seeds/ dried apricots?

Sami - regarding the scans - the second one sounds a lot like your usual 20 week scan...are you looking for reassurance or just for 'looking' IYSWIM - if all you want to do is watch the baby for a while then doing all those measurements means that they keep stopping and measuring from this point to that point etc...
I can't recommmend Babybond enough - we went to 2 of their places and they were SO good to us. They also do evenings and weekends.

I guess it probably is searching - but if you are going to buy a room thermometer then this one is a really cool one what means that you can see 'at a glance' whether the temp is okay for baby or not...
It has already saved us money because we don't put the fire or the heating on whilst the egg is yellow (it is currently in our living room) - it has literally changed our behaviour.
But it is still £15please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I want an egg, want an egg and I want one right now!
My OH will probably say no to as we got the free nursery thermometer with HIPP pg pack but I will say it is crap and we need the egg.
Didn't someone say if you buy 2 grobags from Kiddicare you get the egg free? Is a grobag a baby sleeping bag?
Well, burst into tears in front of the boss this afternoon - couldn't even speak to tell her why! She said she'd give me 5mins to get myself together and come back but she didn't and has gone home. Not here fault as she got held up and has to pick her son up. I've emailed her with my day from hell so hopefully she won't mention it again.
Planned a nice night with my friend before she goes - Indian Takeaway, nice sticky chocolate dessert and lots of board games and silly films. Going home now - off tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on with MW
Thanks for all your support today girls it's been much appreciated.
feelie - get buying while you are in the mood! What about...........
a changing unit? You could get one with drawers so they look just like chest of drawers?!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Is a moses basket stand and a bath stand the same thing? Are they safe? I can use one with my carrycot and thought it would be better than using the pram frame downstairs. How do they attatch? Do they just sit on??0
