Does it say this in the instruction book? I had a flick through and didn't see anything, I did wonder though as I want to carry on using it. I'm used to regular exercise but finding I don't feel up to the gym by the time I finish work, but can manage 30 mins or so on the Wii Fit. My thinking is that as long as it's not uncomfortable then it's better than no exercise at all, but if I'm wrong then I would stop of course.

Can't remember if it was in the instruction book for the board or for the game? Personally I wouldn't take any notice but I am not a great one for 'the rules' so I guess it depends what kind of person you are. They probably only say not to so you can't sue them...

I have done nearly 30 mins today at 39+3 so I would say it was fine!!

Glad everything went well at the hospital for you - the little blighters know how to frighten us don't they?

Feelie - I think the advice if you aren't feeling much movement is to lay down for at least 20 minutes and have some chocolate and a cold fizzy drink.

I am pretty sure that I am not making that up...but not 100% :rotfl:

LOL Emma - if you haven't needed it so far then you may not need it at all (touch wood!)

My MW gave me a signed and stamped form to send off (well actually, she had to give me two because I neglected to send the first one off!)
Well Emma will need it for free dental treatment :p don't forget ladies you need to have ur teeth checked every 6 months ;)

We're not due till the 9th but I'm sooo keen for baby to come out soon. Any good tips to pass on? Old wives' tales, etc. OBG has promised to induce if I reeeally want to, which has taken the edge off desperation, but... I still want him out! Have tried: fresh pineapple, curry, raspberry leaf tea, "what caused this state", and walking for ages. Oh, and am still nursing baby #1 if that is relevant. I realise we are not overdue (and huge sympathies to anyone who is) but the bump isn't getting any smaller or lighter! Yes, I know I clearly have no patience...

Still getting a few cramps and pains. Seems to be okay when I'm led in bed, but if I'm walking around it hurts a bit. Tried making the bed and carrying a load of washing, and that really hurt. Don't know what to do - the Doctor was quite off when I questioned having an internal. Keep swinging between thinking I should phone them again, to thinking its probably just stress and worrying is only making it worse! Baby is having a quiet day as well. I know kick charts aren't recommeneded anymore, but how can I tell what is 'normal' for me, when he is either moving all the time, or hardly moving at all?
phone them and see what they say.
i'm forever having pains and the like these days.
i get especially paranoid when i have a B hicks which is painful.
bubs movements have slowd right down recently, but thats par for the course cos there is less room.

emlou thats terrible! I can't believe your midwives are that un-helpful, i am presuming this is your first too  Just to put your mind at ease I had a MW check at 16 weeks, so it does sound like you were right to book an appointment.
    Here you have
    booking in app with MW@GPs
    12wk scan @hosp
16wk only if having tripple test, MW@GPs
    20wk scan, @hosp
24 wk back to MW at GPs

anyone who wants to know stuff like this see the NHS site http://www.nhs.uk/Planners/pregnancycareplanner/Pages/PregnancyHome.aspx

...Was put in Triage as soon as I got there, ahead of a heavily pregnant woman clearly in discomfort who was not impressed and gave me and DH a load of verbal abuse, which although understandable, wasn't nice. Midwife took a while to find heartbeat, but it was there loud and clear, checked my BP, urine etc, all ok.

Turns out baby was just being lazy and not wriggling round as much as normal, but also s/he was laying right the way back so wouldn't feel it as much anyway in that position. Phew! I wasn't particularly worried until the midwife and lady on the phone at the hospital kept saying get there asap, made it sound really urgent and stuff, so I felt a bit of an idiot when there was nothing wrong - I wouldn't have gone in if they hadn't told me to!! But as DH said, better to get it checked than keep on as normal and miss something being wrong until it's too late. Typical baby, then starts rummaging around and poking me as soon as we leave the ward and hasn't stopped all day.
How rude of her!! yes she was possibly in labour but you had possibly lost ur baby - in considerate bint!!

I wonder if the pains are BH contractions. That is what the midwife said, but I don't get a hard, tight bump like I did in the beginning. I remember getting them occasionally earlier on (after sex :o ) and my bump would go very hard and tight. These feel just like period pains.

Also - anyone have any thoughts or ideas about kneeling while in labour? Try as I might, I cannot seem to overcome my fear of the bed, and I'm tempted to ask them to get rid of it. Don't know if they'll allow that, and let me have a matress on the floor. Other option would be kneeling on the floor?

I know! She wasn't in labour, she was in the bit which is seperate where you wait to be seen for if they're just checking you for something, like anything pregnancy related that isn't the actual labour or birth or just a routine check up IYSWIM so I understand she might have been anxious to see someone, but like in A&E, they don't see you in order of arrival, it's in order of importance of your problem. I didn't ask to be seen before her and in fairness I'd have been prepared to wait as she was first, but they invited me through, what was I supposed to say "no no, you must see this lady first, she was before me" lol.
