Ok.... it would seem the slight house work I have done has re-aggrevated my back - had to nip to GPs to pick up my sick note (did I mention I love my GP! :D ) and Tesco for some grub - that or starve basically! And by the time I got home to unpack my shopping my back is REALLY bad again... drat!
Oh well MW tomorrow at 12 so hopefully getting referred to physio to help a little.
We're having pizza for dinner tonight - home made :D Stuck the dough in the breadmaker before I went out and it's ready to flatted etc now so just leaving it another couple of mins before I make it so it's ready for hubby coming home at 7ish :)
Need to put on load number 3 in the washing machine in a min - and the 2nd load for the dishwasher... *sigh* I'll get there! Eventually... :)

Well went for my 28week growth scan today... Baby is measuring a little large and has a guesstimated weight of 3lb something... They didn't bother with wee sample or blood pressure seeing as the midwife did it yesterday and their machine wasn't working properly... The consultant had a look at her notes and said she'd book me in for another scan at 34 weeks... I very nearly agreed then remembered I didn't want to waste anymore time sitting on those really uncomfortable chairs! So I questioned why it was neccessary and how measuring it would make a difference to its size... She wrote all over my notes 'Not keen on follow up scan' and discharged me to the community midwives... Apparently she'll still be worried about the size of the baby but if I don't want the scan they don't have a choice... (She also glanced over at hubby to try and make her point but she didn't have any joy with him, I'd already briefed him on my decision!)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Shop-to-drop my fingers are crossed for you that all is well. I know how horrid it is and when I was bleeding and lost out of hours the only person I could ring were NHS direct who were useless to the point I wish I hadn't phoned them so I do understand how you feel. You can ring the early pregnancy clinic at your hospital first thing in the morning though and get a reassurance scan so please do this. Am keeping everything crossed for you though.

Thanks for the advise. I may do this tomorrow when the kids are at school. As my kids are 12,10 and 7 I really didn't want to involve them this evening in trips to hospital even if offered.

    Pardon Chalkie_Bertie?

Searching, I think shoppie's confused you with AF, she was talking angelic names with Sami earlier...

Shoppie, I bled a couple of times at the beginning of this pregnancy and had a couple of scans at the early pregnancy assesment unit... Ring your midwife or Dr in the morning and tell them you're pregnant and bleeding and they should be able to arrange for you to visit the hospital for a reassurance scan... I personally wouldn't bother with A&E unless I was flooding because there's not a lot they can do... The second time I was bleeding we spent 3 hours in A&E on the Sunday and all they did was refer me to the EPAU for the Wednesday!
