I just though "thank god she's started buying" if he decided to make an early appearance he wouldn't have had much, bless xx
Are you feeling ok "in yourself" IYKWIM xxx (ooh how many kisses have I given you lol whit woo)

Spoke to midwife again, and she wants me to go in to be checked over this afternoon. No hurry, I can have lunch first. It'll all be normal pregnancy stuff, think its just the combination of things.

Moses basket was delivered this morning, so if worst does happen, he'll at least have a nappy, an outfit and somewhere to sleep!

Tine it sounds like just another joy of loosened ligaments in preg. Mine do it but they have always done it so I can't really comment :p
Tickle one of the guys from my old work was in the same situation with both mum n dad's grandma having same name.
No offense but lots of people on mse are saying Isabella and its bumping it down on my list :( I know it's silly coz said people are scattered all over the country! I must pull myself together!

If it makes you feel any better we are aiming to move to New Zealand so there will be one less in the UK in 4 years time lol :D Its such a pretty name and I loved my Grandma soooooooo much (she was my favourite although dont tell my other gran lol) My family is full of strangeness, grandma Isabelle was married to grandad Isaac, OH's Granny Isabelle was married to Grandad Isiah, then my mums initials are VA and my dads are AV, my other grans initials are JR and grandads are RJ......there is more and more weirdness the further we go into our family tree :rotfl:

OH won't allow any 'silly' names, but my brother (who has a silly name himself!) suggested such things as: Thaddeus, Xerxes, Gwilliam and a few others I can't spell!

    Is Elliott a wacky name?

    I should have a shower before I go, shouldn't I?

    I love Thaddaeus!

All well here, I was very sick and tired yesterday and my OH was an absolute @rsssse last night so I'm also tired today. Less sick though. Small mercies.

Also, all of you who only put on a stone during pregnancy can all do something very rude. I've put on more than that already and I'm only 17 weeks.

Not weighed myself since the consultant upset me at 20 weeks, but all this talk of weight made me think I should. I've put on 13lbs, which isn't bad for 32 weeks! Shan't be so terrified of consultant now, although I'm sure she'll still make me cry.

I'm off for a shower, then shall go to the hospital. They have a nice shop there, so I'll get some chocolate and magazines to keep me entertained. Was very disappointed that they don't have TVs in the delivery rooms!

  • tink - I haven't got a clue how much weight I have put on during pregnancy and I don't intend finding out. If any MW or doc suggested I stand on some scales I would tell them where to shove them ;) I haven't been weighed at all, not even at my booking in appointment. We are all so very different, I wouldn't worry about it.

LOL - delivery man just came to the door to deliver some adaptors to fit my car seat onto my pram base and he looked at me like I was going to pop (kind of wincing and backing away) :rotfl:

I had loads of other stuff to say but I have lost it all because I didn't take notes (I don't even know where to find a pen at the moment!!).

Am eating home-made potato and leek soup and have the remains of last nights chicken on the stove making stock...domestic goddess, moi? Oh Yes!!;) :D

She was suggesting Elliott for a girl not boy if I remember rightly which is unusual
Sugar - :p If it makes you feel any better although after Chris although I was the same weight I was 2 dress sizes bigger :)

    and...

We have TVs in the delivery rooms and by the bed at my hosp :p:D

Big hugs Caz and labour vibes to those who need them.

Had 20wk scan this am and convinced hubby NOT to find out what flavour we're having. Like Sami I might need some time to get my head around having a boy, but decided it is the only surprise left. Don't know what the other 2nd (and 3rd etc) timers think, but somehow this pg is just not as exciting as 1st time around? I feel bad for saying it and am trying hard to feel bonded with baby, but it's just not happening.

We're struggling with boy names so any suggestions welcome. We like 'proper' names, but not common as our surname is common. And no biblical ones as OH is a staunch aetheist (sp?). Ned, Max, Owen and Alex are on the list at the mo' but none 'feel' quite right yet.

Re weight - Tinkerbell. I'm about the same stage as you and I've put on about 9/10lbs. I think this is pretty normal - 2-4lbs in first trimester, then around 1lb a week in 2nd trimester. I've put on less than last time and Imogen was 8lb 10oz even though I'm only little. Am hoping for another big-ish baby and a cracking weightloss while BF as it took me about 12 months to lose it last time :-(
