    Hello all! X

Claire, when bubs kicks me it sometimes really hurts especially if I'm aching anyway.
MFD, consultants are knobs, not all but alot. It's just that they don't understand how to talk to people. Take care. X
AM, glad you had a good time, long drive though.
Sami, surely if you're claiming for your ceiling they don't need to look at the bedroom and if they do you say that of course you called them about it, you clearly remember the phone call and were not aware you needed new paperwork.

Back to work today and omg I am aching, especially down below. I knew no.6 would be tough but not this early. Swelling in places I can't mention.

Now I need a scone and cream, Mrs T. you got me started but I think I'm gonna have to settle for pancakes as the kids want some for their pancake races in the morning. :p
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p

Don't think it's a problem at all although you may want to just check you haven't been having too much coffee. Been 7 years since my last baby I'm sure a more recent mum will be able to reassure you but I think your fine. You may have an active baby to run after in a few months though.;)

  • Claire - I actually asked my MW this question after a particularly bad day where I swear Bubba did not stop for 5 or 6 hours. She said to watch caffeine intake and that it shouldn't be a problem unless it is a complete change in behaviour that goes on for a prolonged period of time...

On the day in question I had had 2 big mugs of starbucks (when I have been mainly decaf since getting pregnant) and had spent 3 hours stood up talking to a group of 80 construction blokes so we put it down to caffeine and adrenaline.

If you are worried get the MW to check - it could potentially be a sign of distress (although unlikely).

It may well be that this is what you have got to look forward to until the end!!

Don't know how any of you lot lost weight when breastfeeding... I got a hunger when she was about a week old that didn't go for about 3 months! (But then I'm a compulsive so don't really need a hunger to eat...)

Had a couple of really uncomfortable braxton hicks today, they seem to be getting stronger...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Roo tends to take the activity thing seriously when she wakes up :) Some days I'll only get a small amount of movement and the odd kick - other days she'll kick the living day lights out of me, then rest for another couple of days where she's exhausted herself :)
I find drinking coke, eating chocolate or basically high sugar foods will usually always set her off though :)

I don't think it'd be physically possible for me to eat any more than I already do, so I expect I'll lose weight when I breastfeed!

hello all, hugs to those who need them.

MFD I'm feeling decidedly odd, a bit out of body experience ish, are you having that?

DH is just having a practice run at inflating the birthing pool. We'll put the central heating on and let it air out, it smells a bit 'fusty' IYKWIM?

I'm glad we're doing a trial, he's just realised he's lost the tap attachments of the hose.

I'd not have liked to have discovered that while in labour!

Does anyone know if r.mac posted a birth story? I'd like to know because it was a planned HB, with a complication at the end I think, and I'd like to know more.

Mad sounding question- would you still be ok having a decorator painting the front of the house while you laboured in a room at the back? We've got so many tradesmen round at the moment, and I keep thinking I'm going to be the only woman in labour to be shouting, 'phone the decorator, phone the sparky, phone the carpet fitter!' :rotfl:
