Thanks for explaining that, BunnyGirl33. How do we find out who the affiliate is? Everything goes through the Airmiles website, though, so I still think that they should take responsibility for chasing this. I'd be happy to contact an affiliate!
Even if you knew the specific affiliate I doubt very much they would speak to you, as you would be requesting detail of a 'contract' between airmiles and themselves in which you are not involved.......
As far as the network are concerned they are paying an introduction fee to airmiles and it is airmiles who are saying that they will share some of this fee with you (in the form of airmiles).
The 'Cashback' sites have a process for querying missing/wrong transactions (although this can be longwinded), with airmiles as the online shopping is a sideline this does not appear to be as well developed.0 -
With airmiles as the online shopping is a sideline this does not appear to be as well developed.
And there is a process for querying missing miles - login, click on 'My Account' then 'Missing Miles?'. If your miles should have come from a partner (Tesco, Shell, etc) then select that partner from the drop-down list and follow the instructions.
For online shopping transactions, click on the link that says 'Can't find your scheme? Email Airmiles' and fill in the details. In the enquiry field, include the following information:- Date of purchase (must be over 35 days ago)
- Your surname
- Your Airmiles account number
- Your contact number
- Retailer you're missing the miles from
- Order number of the purchase
- Short description of the items purchased
- Total spend (excluding delivery)
- Delivery address (if applicable)

Thanks Stuart,
I had a quick look, but couldn't find the details, I'd still stand by the comment that the online shopping is a sideline however, compare the process you mention above for querying missing miles on online shopping, with sites that 'specialise' in this process and whose reporting process is similar to the process you mention for Shell, Tesco et al above. Given that all 'email queries' would have to be manually processed by airmiles before being sent to the affiliate network.
Dulcieb, note the investigation is not down to airmiles however, they'll pass the query to the affiliate network, who in turn will pass the details to the merchant to validate that the transaction was valid. This MAY have a quick turn around, however, note this is not usually merchants top priority, some cashback sites have agreements with the networks re: turnaround times (ie Quidco Sure Shop merchants), however I can't see anything like this on airmiles.0 -
Hi,
I've not gained any Airmiles for more than two years. Please can someone confirm, do I have to gain some Airmiles by 31st March to not lose the ones I've got or having to pay £30?
Can I convert Amex nectar credit card points into Airmiles, or convert a Tesco voucher into some? Is it too late now (as it could take a few days to go through)?
Thanks.0 -
Well, I thought I'd try to use the airmiles by spending them, but their website closes tonight for "essential maintenance" (no coincedence, me thinks) and it's been refusing to load for the last half hour (demand I guess)!
So that's that then!0 -
I am thinking of beginning to collect either air miles or ba miles with a view to a flight to botswana or johannesburg in a couple of years for a family of 4.
It would be economy class as I don't think we could ever amass enough to go business class.
can you point me in the right direction for pros and cons and how to collect them please? I was going to start by converting tesco vouchers, which I now get about £40 per quarter since the extra points vouchers have dried up. So any tips on other ways to collect gratefully received. TIA.0 -

Conversion from Tesco normally take a couple of days to go through, if you've got a lot to lose I'd probably risk it and convert £2.50 just to add 60 to your account.0 -
I converted £2.50 and selected to convert to airmiles. Received email confirmation that I had 60 points on an airmile account. How od I get it to automatically send these points to my existing airmiles account? Sounds like it's set up a new account when it says my balance is 60. Does this normally do this? I've emailed twice but received no response so going to ring tomorrow.0

Are the address details exactly the same on your clubcard account as your airmiles account? as these are the details that it uses.
I've sucessfully sent clubcard points from clubcard accounts registered at 2 different addresses by changing the airmiles address to match.
When you call them they should be able to merge the 2, and if you ask them what the difference in the address details is you should know for future.0 -
Hello all,
this is my first post so please be gentle....;-))...
A number of years ago (circa 15 yrs) i built up approximatly 90,000 airmiles with continental airlines and never did a thing with them.
Is there a) any possibility they still exist? b) some form of 'central repository for 'airmiles', and c) any way i can trace them?
Given the subject of this post i am replying too i am guessing that all answers are going to be in the negative, but thought i would ask anyway.0
