ps....I've just noticed something even more annoying - the Airmiles statement only covers the past TWELVE months. So there's no way of knowing when the 24 months expiry date is due!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel an email to AM coming on!!!!!!!!!0 -
You might want to reconsider advice for people to spend at Shell in order to avoid the 6 month expiry point. As Shell are notoriously slow at adding 'Shell Miles' to airmiles accounts.
In fact I've just had a transaction go on:
Airmiles statement states 'Shell Sep 08' posted 19/02/09
So unless you are very close to the quarter end it is very unlikely they'll be added in quarter!0 -
So does anyone know whether you have to pay for the hotel you have to book, in order to qualify for the 1500 introductory airmiles points from the lloyds duo card? i.e. is it an extra cost?0

I've got the voucher myself but haven't tried it yet, terms specify that you have to book an additional night accommodation but don't specify payment method....
So I suppose you could pay miles for it (although you probably wouldn't get much change from 1500 Miles for the Miles price for the Hotel, so it might be better to pay cash)0 -
Just been browsing the airmiles online shopping area, and there is an offer of 30 miles when you sign up for a free trial subscription to The Week - 6 free issues then cancel the direct debit if you don't want any more.0

Does anyone know how long the Tesco clubcard points take to show on airmiles as i did mine yesterday but need to order from airmiles quickly for a trip to London in 3 weeks but am not going to pay the £30 admin fee!!:mad:0

With mine I think Tesco took 3-4 days0

I changed some Tesco clubcard vouchers on 18th and the miles were credited today 21st.[0

I recall now that the bit I was referring to was the Duo credit card's introductory 1500 mile voucher:
"1,500 miles will show on the customer's account as a voucher within 30 days of the Eligible purchase and will not form part of the AIRMILES balance."
from http://www.airmiles.co.uk/content/generatePage.do?destination=Lloyds+terms&from=lloyds
This is correct, I got a voucher for the 1500 miles when taking out the card but get 1 mile for every £10 spent on the Amex card and 1 mile for every £50 spent on the Mastercard. The miles are credited with a 2-3 days of my statement being produced each month.0 -
I was alerted to this problem by Martin's email, I have lots of airmiles saved from my natwest creditcard but none since saving them that way was stopped, so I signed up for a shell drivers card, thinking to buy a bit of petrol every year to keep the airmiles safe.
I've just received an email from airmiles saying thanks for signing up with a new partner, ie shell, but in small print at the bottom it says 'If you purchase less than 500 litres of fuel (25 Airmiles worth) in a quarter, your miles will be carried over to the next quarter.'
Does this mean that i'd have to buy 500 litres in order to protect nmy airmiles?! If not what does it mean? Any advice would be welcome.0
