I love the amount of food you can have on Slimming World but it is a long haul for me to get weight off - need to lose about 101bs. I joined RC for the exercise as I found the going round each member of the class and clapping etc a bit tedious. My instructor is great fun, BUT sadly I have done my back in (not necessarily the exercises) and my physio has told me to stop until my lower "abverse muscles strengthen." - I loved the exercise but could not follow RC diet.

Thanks! I joined on-line (there was a class across the road from me for a month, but then it wasn't in the magazine any more! and I couldn't afford to go whilst Dr Dragon wasn't working)

The problem I am having is that I stuck like glue to the diet for the first fortnight and I have put weight ON! The only thing I can think is that it is my medication so I have stopped taking it (I only need to take it if I really need it for pain relief - in Chronic Pain) so hopefully something will start to shift and soon!

    Hi all

I have done RC successfully before - both at a class before my twins were born and online after my twins were born.

Due to a health problem which has stopped me exercising (and feeling very down because of it) my weight is now at an all time high.

I am thinking on joining up online again and wondered if anyone on here is doing the RC plan that way? It is a lot of money for a year, but by paying that it does seem that it commits you to it.

I feel so fed up that I can't exercise any more that I feel I need to do something and its the only plan I've ever got on with.

I joined on-line and find it reasonable (except I have to use IE not Firefox and it is slooooooow!)

I've started classes and am soo suprised how difficult it is to lose weight, have in the last 6 weeks lost only 2lbs. Need to re elavalluate the food intake and really exercise. Only want to lose 1 stone

    Hi,

Just wondering how you are all getting on? Thinking of joining RC next week and wondering how you are all finding it. Can I ask what the foods are like? Is it low fat/calories etc?

You get a calorie allowance which is generous depending on age and bmi, foods vary lots of normal stuff and after 2 weeks of fat busting a varied diet having said all this I have lost 5lbs love the salsa exercise class and must try to do a 20 minute walk daily have got lots more stamina and my last summer clothes fit better no so much muffin effect

we follow the RC plan loosely, which is basically 5% fat or less

eg on the back of food packaging no more than 5 grams of fat per 100 grams of food

easier to stick to than i had imagined!
