Someone may want to contact the web host of the site to have it taken down, the chances are being so new that the hosting and domain were brought using fraudulent cards too....
The web host housing this site is Yahoo (network-abuse@cc.yahoo-inc.com)The Head Honcho (does very little work)0 -
Prices are definately too cheap!
it's a shame its a scam i could do with a laptop.lol0 -
Sadly nothing has yet been proven so far as fraud, so there's no sense trying to get the police involved on a hunch. It is a from-the-box website and you will pay customs charges when the items hit the UK unless they fake the commercial invoice (possible but unlikely).0

Now saying Site temporarily disabled0

I purchased a printer on the 16th of February simply because i thought i was getting a bargain. Check my account every day and the money hasn't gone through yet. The only thing is the Site is saying now temp disabled and reading these threads have got me worried.
I phoned my bank and they recommended to cancel my Debit Card and get another one, this sounds like a bit of too much "faf" on ??0 -
Wow, so the site has been removed. I actually emailed network-abuse@cc.yahoo-inc.com yesterday after mattwallisuk posted their email address here.
Will also call my credit card company again and ask them to send me a new card because I don't want to use this card anymore.
I'm really glad I posted in this forum and got all your responses, that was really helpful!
Oh and since I'm still looking for a good deal to buy a small laptop, in case someone knows a good and reliable website can you please let me know?
Thanks!!0 -
The website is back up and running now and my order still says Pending :S i've emailed then to cancel the order, and already cancelled my card.0

On 18-02-2009 I purchased an item from www.ukelectronicsbuy.com. I checked the order regularly but always found that the order was pending, so after sending a few emails to them and receiving no reply I thought it best to contact my bank to cancel the card I used.
A bit of useful information they gave me is that opening an account that provided an Electron card would mean that if sufficient funds were not available then no payment would be made (so there are no horrendous over draught charges). If you are worried about any use of the card then simply reduce the amount of cash in the account to below the purchase amount and when someone attempts to gain a payment it is simply refused. Unfortunately Electron accounts are very basic and the card is not accepted everywhere, but where it is then there is a little bit of a security blanket if you get suspicious after the purchase.0 -
The advantage with using credit cards for online payment of anything over £100 is that the credit card company becomes liable if for some reason the company is unable to fulfill the order (eg it goes into administration). With a Visa Electron you are liable, not your bank.0
