Thanks, Daisymac, I'm really just looking for people who know the shop as I am not sure if I can trust it or not. Have you had a look at teh prices? Theys ay they ship everything from New York, but still..
Do you think I can trust it?
This doesn't appear to come up on google even if you put ukelectronicsbuy.com in the search box. How did you find out about the site?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
My brother actually forwarded it to me as I was looking for a cheap laptop but don't know how he found it. Am really worried now... will try to call their number later and see if they respond0
-
I have and no one is answering... it's being forwarded to some mobile voicemail and I'm always more worried now
Just talked to my borther who said he found the website because it came up in google shopping.
What should I do now??0 -
Looks like someone taking advantage of the fluctuating exchange rate by buying cheap US electronics and selling them to UK buyers. Ships via UPS apparently but I wouldn't be surprised if they meant USPS so that packages could occasionally "go missing".
All their stock (which is probably bankrupt stock from Circuit City) is US - check the DVD players for example which are region 1. I doubt they sell stepdown converters to deal with the voltage differences...0 -
Also if its coming from the US surely there is a good chance your going to get a bill from customs? The Head Honcho (does very little work)0

Why not get in touch with your credit card company and see if you can stop the transaction??0 -
I doubt the credit card company will want to be of much help 1 day after you have made a purchase.... I think they need to allow it not to turn up before chargebacks become viable? The Head Honcho (does very little work)0

I expect that is the case - but if the purchaser has tried to get in touch with the seller and cannot and then becomes doubtful that it is legitimate transaction I would have thought it might be worth a try to see if they can offer any advice.
I can't manage to get the company up on google (web search or shopping search) at all - OP's brother is much cleverer than me!0 -
just to say thank you to all of you for your advice and help in this matter.. will call the credit card company and hope they'll be able to cancel it0
