Ignoring the pub issue, smokers more than pay for their cost to the state, in fact my guess is the more people you stop the more it will cost i.e.

They will live longer, state pension health care etc.

And/Or, they will still be a burden on the National Health
But, no tobacco taxes coming in
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

When I get to be Prime Minister, there will be a rule that requires smokers to stay inside for their cigarettes whilst sanctamonious do gooders are made to wait outside. Considerate non smokers will be welcome to stay inside. I will be implementing these arrangements entirely for health reasons. Not only will this protect the busy bodies from passive smoke but it will also shut their nagging up. Remember nagging causes stress and can have long term effects on health.

    Love it! :D

easy Matbe - have you an I ever discussed anything on here for you to be so complimentary...

as i said previously maybe you didn't understand...

if investment to an establishment was made to accomodate smokers was made it would either be by the establishment or through government funding.

i was being sarcastic (not ironic, maybe you didn't grasp that either) when i said the establishment should pay for it - if you bothered to read the end of my post you would have understood that this was being said tongue in cheak to Macaque.

and i also said that if the Government or Local Authority would pay for it - it wouldn't be right.

come on Matbe - chill, it's only an internet forum, don't take yourself so seriously
