new tamper proof stamps

I've never understood this, how can used stamps have any value?
Same with plastic bottle tops which they collect on the continent?
Stamps - not a clue.
Plastic bottle tops are recyclable, which explains that one. Pretty much any type of plastic is recyclable (and there's a huge market for it in the rest of Europe where they care about such things), it's just that councils in the UK are too cheap to do things properly. Recycling here is measured by weight, and many plastic containers and tetra-paks are so light they make so little difference to targets that councils simply refuse to bother with them.0 -
Under what law or case law? and even if it is re-used from one unposted envelope to another has any offence been committed? I don't think so.
Does it matter? You can stick the stamp on an un-franked part of the envelope or put a sticky label over the previous franking.
Perhaps that's because there is a negative to be seen by law abiding people.
Thanks Wig, there is NO law 4 doin this!!:jHas lots to look forward to in 2011!!:j

Actually there is, "obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception" but there is no law AFAIK against moving a new stamp from one envelope to another because it was placed on the wrong envelope by mistake.0 -

Would that cover reusing a stamp that hadn't been marked on its way through the system? Not being party to the original argument, I assumed that's what we were hotly debating
