My sweet making was fun, I made coffee cremes, peppermint fondants and cinder toffee. The first time for cinder toffee, I got very excited when the mixture foamed up and it tastes great. Going to take to friends now so I dont eat them all!
Ooohh cinder toffee, always fancied making that:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Have to have a look on halfcost - forgot about it lately
I had a really thrifty day today - went to a car boot sale. Bought a vtech computer games thing for the bairn(the kind you plug into the computer) for 2pounds and then we noticed that the lady had some kids videos. We have been thinking about letting the bairn have a video player in her bedroom because we know we can get videos for 50p at car boot sales and if she wrecks them it hasn't cost much. Anyways she said they were free! a whole laundry basket of them - titles like lion king, rapunzel barbie, beauty and the beast, american tail 1 and 2. I was bowled over by the kindness and I told them that they would be well used and mean hours of peace which will be a god send for me at the moment. I cried on the way home as I thought it was just so kind. I got some ladybird read it yourself books for 10p each and I got me wuthering heights and that new slummy mummy novel for 50p. I've wanted both those books for a while and have almost nearly paid 5pounds each for them but I got both for 50p - so pleased.
I got home and my mil has a video tv combo in her loft that she said dd can have. It just keeps getting better...0
