Shevs - at least you know what the problem is now and can deal with it. I hate not knowing when things are wrong, especially health. Best wishes.
Hayley - ooops ! hope you get your lap top working
Well, I'm miffed ! Started covering my shoe boxes........one lot of paper kept tearing, then I ran out and looking at the bit I have done, I don't like it at all. The other one is a bit better..........still don't have enough paper which means another jaunt into town to get some more. Be a lot easier if we had a wallpaper shop that sold odd bits.
Haven't even got any odd bits here -think I gave them all away
Still, tomorrow is another day...............so moan over:rotfl:Mary

Rusty, just an idea... Since your gp isnt listening to you.... Do you have a NHS walk in center that you could get too ?
Tell them that your GP doesnt seem to be listening and you are in agony, Hopefully they will be able to helpfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Rusty - sorry to hear the prob. with the doctor........sometimes it seems they think they know all and I wonder if they actually listen ...........anyway, if you don't have a NHS walk in centre you could ring NHS Direct..........they may well be able to advise you of a better pain killer or put you through to a doctor on call.
Good luckMary

Rusty it is really unfair to be treated that way and there are literally hundreds of painkillers that they could give you to try! Also although weight can be a problem health wise (I have no idea about you as an individual and therefore wouldn't want to comment!) it is NOT the most important thing and to leave someone suffering in pain and go on about their weight is not really accceptable in my individual opinion!
I agree with Choccy get a second opinion from a walk in clinic or even go to casualty if it is getting really bad.
I hate reading about all the awful things that happen in the NHS on here it really is not how it should be and makes me ashamed sometimes to be part of that organisation!! Shame you didn't have an illness that I look after as I would soon sort you out!!! (Having said that you prob wouldn't want one of my specialist diseases!!!:o)
Take lotsa care Rusty we are all rooting for you xxx0 -

Thankyou ladies, I don't think we have a walk in centre as we have a small local hospital which has 5 or 6 doctors attatched so OH says anyway.
I am going to book an appointment to see my own doctor asap and if he dares to comment I will kill him :rotfl:
Furry you mentioned about weight, I am not massively huge, although I am classed as overweight. However 4-5 years ago I used to be twice the size I am now and managed to lose loads to get down to what I am now ... then I fell pregnant again and somehow I seem to have stayed at the same size/weight for the last almost 3 years! When I was really big I never had half of the problems I have now, and yet they all say weight is the cause etc  I can't be bothered with it, I don't want to hear it and I really don't have the energy to traipse back and forth!! (although I am probably losing weight by doing so :rotfl:) I even said to the doctor today that I wasn't there to see her about my weight, but I was there for my leg but she wasn't interested! I am obviously on a bracket and don't deserve to be treated like a single person!
Anyway rant over ... I really want to make a card but I am in so much pain I can't sit on the chairs at the table ... I am struggling to sit at all and have spent most of the day lying down to ease the pain!
Hope everyone has had a better day than meRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty - grab the sofa (not literally) and put your feet up...........the card will always wait....you're more important.
Is there any chance you could go to the little local hospital near you ? Not tonight though.......sounds like rest is what you need.
Co-codomal is the strongest pain killer I've ever had...........was given that when I broke my wrist a few years back...........totally knocked me out it did.
As for your weight, well, seems most things now seem to be down to weight or smoking - you could hardly lose weight overnight and it wouldn't be a cure-all for your leg either.
Take it easy xMary

Rusty am really sorry to hear you are in so much pain chick, sending you lots of cyber hugs...
It's just not on that they can't give you something for the pain - were you trying to be all 'brave' when you were at the docs...maybe you should have brought on the tears! I did that once when I was told I couldn't have an injection for my hayfever (was the only thing that ever worked) and because I have littluns to look after and suffer really badly it just got to me and I broke down....If you are in such pain you should consider calling nhs direct tonight as they may be able to organise someone to come to you....
I also don't get the weight thing, whatever you weighed it is their job to help you if you are in pain....Jun GC £250.00/£12.40 NSD 3 / 30
