Hi brownjasperdog :hello: Yeah come join in, we're all very nice and friendly :D

Rusty - big well done on your brilliant total, you're an inspiration! :j

Rainmac - I just wanted to say I hope your mum will be ok and hope the radiotherapy isn't too bad, I don't know anything about it so don't know if that's a daft thing to say but my thoughts are with you and your family :)

There's a few Avon reps on this thread, I am still technically an Avon rep but got all in a piddle and they're ripping me off a bit so it's all gone very sour! I am quitting once i've paid the outstanding balance that I don't even think I owe them

Me and my OH were walking down to Asda before and this elderly man stopped us and said how nice it was to see two young people so in love! Awww! What a lovely thing to say! Really made our day! I'm always a bit wary when people stop me in the street but that was a very pleasant surprise :D

I am really getting into digital scrapbooking, it's very addictive! I've done 5 pages in the last few days! I'm hoping that doing the digital scrapbooking will give me confidence when doing real scrapbooking :D I've got the first crafty meet up on Wednesday, there's only 6 people going so that should be ok. Just hope they're not all really good because i'll look rubbish next to them!

Got a few little bottles of wine from Asda, I got some Weight Watchers Rose, I remember a few years ago having a bottle and it was so nice but that tasted like horrid vinegar! The Blossom Hill one is lovely though. I am so disappointed though, I never get ID'd anymore, my age must be catching up with me. :( :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway I shall shut up waffling now, hope everybody is okay :) xx

    Thanks Hayley ;)

Your scrapbook pages are fab, I am in love with what you are creating. You seem to be really enjoying it :D For anyone who missed the link to Hayley's fab blog... http://bighworld.blogspot.com/

Mel has updated her blog with some beautiful work... http://pinkladymel.blogspot.com/2009/04/scrapbook-apprentice-sneak-peeks.html

I've come across this site for buying/selling handmade stuff, does anyone know anything about it? http://www.misi.co.uk/

Have a good day everyone :D It's raining here :(
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

    Happy Rudolph Day everyone :xmastree:

I had a bad night, my eldest daughter rang last night to say she had hurt her hand pushing the kids on a swing and OH took her up the hospital at 10 last night as she couldnt move it. I stayed at her house with the kids as they were asleep. She didnt get seen until 2, OH had gone home as he had to get up early for work this morning so she got a cab home then I had to jump in and get myself home and by the time I went to bed it was gone 3. Luckily she hasnt broken anything as she just started her new job at the hospital on Monday. She has to work again this afternoon so hoping she can manage ok.

My head feels like its full of cotton wool this morning but had to get up and get ready as going up town with ex MIL this morning as she cant make it on her own. Will see if I can get some bargains while up there. I did manage to buy 2 more presents for OH's 30 the other day, went in a pound kind of shop near us and they had some shoe fresheners which he really needs badly lol in a box for a pound and some cheap aftershave which he uses for work which is also only a pound so now have 22 out of 30 and a dvd still to order with Amazon vouchers so really getting there now.

mhagster hope you have a good week end away

rusty enjoy your picnic on the beach today. hope your back is better.

hayley I love your scrapbook pages. they are gorgeous and the colours are fab:T

thanks from me too jammy for getting me motivated to do the challenge. my next task is to get my unsold items on to ebay.
having looked at the toys and games in Home Bargains I can see why most of them didn't sell - you can buy a brand new one there for the same (or even less) as a nearly new one:eek:

So you did half of the ironing ;). I've had the ironing board and ironing out in the living room ALL WEEK and done a few bits here and there but need to get it all done over the weekend cos it's doing my head in  Think I'm going to send the OH and boys out for a couple of hours today so I can get a fair bit done.

Jammy has also motivated me to do the challenge this month and I've done prety well, I am chuffed and want to say a HUGE...

    Thank You Jammy

I did do half, however there is still one overflowing basket to be done, I asked OH to do it whilst I am at work but I can't see that happening!!! :(

BunBun doesn't look like we are going to the beach

Apparently it is overcast and freezing .... I have been out there for an hour this morning and the sun is shining and it is beautiful! oh and it is also going to rain apparently this afternoon :(

I give up! it would appear that he doesn't want to leave the house and I am just supposed to accept that

hope everyone has a good day!

  • Well it's a lovely sunny day in Kent, but I'm stuck in the office until 3 o'clock

Have to go to B&Q on the way home and get a bag of compost and a few more pots for the garden. Got a bit carried away at the garden centre on Tuesday and ended up with 30 trailing Lobelia and 30 Geraniums. I've put all the Lobelia in, but still have 25 Geraniums left. What was I thinking? My back garden is 12 foot by 7 foot and my front door opens straight onto the road, so just two hanging baskets out there.

Oh well, it will look pretty when I've finished!

    Mels challenges

    1. I’ve already got most of my christmas cards made, any I make from now on will be for fun, not necessity. & I bought all cards for ds1 for school in january & checked numbers.

    2. I keep topping up my sealed tin with loose change smaller than 50ps that I have at the end of the week. & I did try Jammys challenge.

    3. I’ve found a few bargains for presents, main ones this month was the first 3 modern dr who dvd boxsets for just over £50, & bear factory outfits on ebay.

    4. I’ve been doing meal plans for ages, which saves me money, but this goes else where.

    5. Need to work on this one
