  • Hello, everyone. I just found you when I typed 'ironing' into the Forum search box!!!

I am a Jamtart fan from a while back. She motivated me to make £200 to offset Christmas the year before last! I've also done loads of homemade presents and cards in the mean time.

I have subscribed to the thread so I'll be following your activities from now on! I'll hopefully start joining in soon as well.

Hi my name is Karen, :hello: I have been married for the past 24 years and have one Son 19, one elderly dog, two winnie (guinnea) pigs, and a large koi pond with 24 fish and live in the South West (Devon).

I normally work full time and also do Avon but I have been off long term sick since the end of November. I have started making cards, am trying to be thrifty following all of your tips and advice, but am really good a being gifty! lol.

I am a member of the older but not necessarily wiser club as I will be the big 5 0 this year. No planned celebrations yet, but I am hoping that we can go to an 'extra' heavy metal festival. With my OH also the same age, but his birthday 12 days after mine if we are really lucky we might even make that 2 extra festivals! As you can see I am not growing old gracefully. :rotfl:

I don't post as often as I should but I do all your posts and try to follow everybodies blogs..... even started to make one of my own, although there is nothing on it yet.

Love to all my extended family, as they say friends are the family you would choose for yourself.

  • Welcome brownjasperdog,
Your dog is gorgeous. Come and have a cuppa, it's a bit quiet of late but we do have a good old natter, say the word 'Christmas' and we usually flock to talk about it :rotfl:

Mel- We all love your work, they are so jelous that you have so much support, they hate it. I bet if you did it for a magazine they would love it cause they can't dispute it and wouldn't because it was published, the blog seems to be created to stir up trouble.
    ..xx
I am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A

Hi brownjasperdog :hello: Yeah come join in, we're all very nice and friendly :D

Rusty - big well done on your brilliant total, you're an inspiration! :j

Rainmac - I just wanted to say I hope your mum will be ok and hope the radiotherapy isn't too bad, I don't know anything about it so don't know if that's a daft thing to say but my thoughts are with you and your family :)

There's a few Avon reps on this thread, I am still technically an Avon rep but got all in a piddle and they're ripping me off a bit so it's all gone very sour! I am quitting once i've paid the outstanding balance that I don't even think I owe them

Me and my OH were walking down to Asda before and this elderly man stopped us and said how nice it was to see two young people so in love! Awww! What a lovely thing to say! Really made our day! I'm always a bit wary when people stop me in the street but that was a very pleasant surprise :D

I am really getting into digital scrapbooking, it's very addictive! I've done 5 pages in the last few days! I'm hoping that doing the digital scrapbooking will give me confidence when doing real scrapbooking :D I've got the first crafty meet up on Wednesday, there's only 6 people going so that should be ok. Just hope they're not all really good because i'll look rubbish next to them!

Got a few little bottles of wine from Asda, I got some Weight Watchers Rose, I remember a few years ago having a bottle and it was so nice but that tasted like horrid vinegar! The Blossom Hill one is lovely though. I am so disappointed though, I never get ID'd anymore, my age must be catching up with me. :( :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway I shall shut up waffling now, hope everybody is okay :) xx
 Think happy & you'll be happy

Welcome to our humble abode jasperdog :D ... typing ironing into a search box probably bought up some strange threads, however ours isn't one, we are all lovely on here, and all support each other :)

Jamtart is fabulous, like you, she has motivated me to do the £75 challenge, however I am closing on the £600 target and loving it, thanks to Jamtart we have had food on the table, a house to live in and some bills paid! without the kick up the bum from her, and the support from both Jamtart and everyone on this thread I could never ever have done it!

Please join in :) We are slightly mad but we have such a laugh and do great virtual hugs through tough days!

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. I have just finished ironing, I have done half of it and now can't be bothered to do anymore, just waiting for OH to come in from work then I shall be heading upto bed!

    xx

We may have mentioned one or two times that most of us HATE ironing ;)

Good to see you here :D

So you did half of the ironing ;). I've had the ironing board and ironing out in the living room ALL WEEK and done a few bits here and there but need to get it all done over the weekend cos it's doing my head in  Think I'm going to send the OH and boys out for a couple of hours today so I can get a fair bit done.

Jammy has also motivated me to do the challenge this month and I've done prety well, I am chuffed and want to say a HUGE...

    Thank You Jammy
