Thanks bunbun, think I might wait for the boxset as well. Jaw is feeling much better, without painkillers I now just have a dull ache, & still cant open mouth to wide - no doing any digestive biccie competitions for me for a bit :D

Glad your back safe & sound, shame about the dog barking, only thing I can think of that you might get them on is noise pollution

Rusty, glad you've taken the evening off, you rest, now your lovely ds is at home he can help run round for you, lol.

we went to a town called Guines which is not far from calais. A 20 minute drive instead of the 5hours + we usually have. We went to Ypres in Belgium and went to see the name of a great uncle who was killed in ww1, on the Menin Gate. It is filled with thousands and thousands of names of men and women who were killed but who's bodies were never laid to rest. I found it really upsetting at the enormity of it all. Ypres is a beautiful town and it was 24 degrees that day.

kids went swimming everyday except for rainy day yesterday (we stayed in all day.......it was seriously pouring!). we drove to boulogne on Tuesday , another lovely day and wandered round the old town. we got a bit of hassle from a beggar and dd2 was really distressed by it all.

I totally chilled and lazed and ate and read 4 books and smashed glass lids!( I didn't have to pay although I did offer....all these situations they don't teach you in French class.....whoops !!

I have started my in laws golden wedding hamper. I bought a packet of Thorntons toffee whilst at tesco there. It's in September and I reckon if I get them something with every shop I can have a really decent golden hamper for them.

sounds like you had a fab time mhagster. we used to go to France every summer but in the south west so I don't really know much of the north. we have booked to go to disneyland Paris for a couple of days in August so that will be our trip to Frnace this year! we are all really excited but it means some serious fund raising to pay for it!! I have got all my children's books, toys and DVDs priced and ready for the NCT sale tomorrow so I hope I sell lots!

we have done disneyland paris 3 times, each time at Halloween, which is fantastic. My OH collects hotel points when he works away from home which is probably 75% of time so we have stayed in Holiday Inn and got passes for free using his points which makes a big difference. It is still v expensive once you are in though for food and you are not supposed to picnic! We used to have extra fruit, croissants etc from buffet b'fast.

take comfy shoes too. it's huge! I don't do rides so was the bag and coat lady and would be the only person in Disneyland reading a book!!

Enjoy your NCT sale, we don't really have anything like that in this area. I have a pile of stuff in my room and in garage that is to be car booted.
Must find out when they start up again for summer at our rugby club.

Rusty none of us here are qualified/allowed to give you medical advice as wedon't know exactly what is going on with your back/leg and body! You really need to get yourself some sort of medical opinion as I am worried about you!!

I wish I was nearer as I would be round like a shot so I could do a quick nursie check and I would call the gp for you and he/she would definitely come and they wouldn't be rude to you either!!

    Take care honey xxx

Was this aimed at me as you said it directly underneath my post giving Rusty advice? I only gave her advice because she was going to go to work and I wanted to make her stop and look after herself. Also, she had already said there was no way she could see a doctor until monday.

I just want to make sure I didn't annoy you or anything, I was only trying to be helpful, not be a doctor.

I haven't been on here for ages and have been trying to get back into it but I just noticed a few people have thanked every single post and missed mine. Did I offend you? Do people secretly not like me and purposefully miss me out.

I know it's only a forum and i've had bigger thing then this to deal with lately but :(

Don't be silly mrs we all love you and miss you xxxxxxxxx I feel like that sometimes when people thank others and not me ... I feel unloved lol ... but then on some other threads I don't thank everyone cause I will be there all day! sometimes I just completely forget.

I need to send you a PM xx
