It's funny how times have changed. I've been called a peasant and laughed at because of my veg growing and all that. Now, it's all back in fashion. :-) That's good, I fit in the society again. Hooray!!! :-) No, really, I think it's great, all these initiatives to grow your own, and people being productive, inspired and just getting on. It's absolutely fabulous, if you ask me. :-)
Hayley - hope you enjoy your CAB training
Rainmac - hope your GP can help and your boys feel better soon
Rusty - I can't see what you're alleged to have copied either. Maybe like paddington says, stay away from the thread for a while. Hope things work out
I've been very good today and done some ironing before I turned the pc on :rotfl:Now I'm off to try and make some money0 -
Afternoon all, did the weekly shop this morn & took the kids out for lunch. Was lovely out, cloudy but very warm. Did my weigh in at boots & have only put on 2lbs which I was shocked over, thought it would be higher, details on my 1 of my blogs here.
Rusty: Chin up hun, I'm another who cant find what she's on about, & your nappy cakes sell themselves, no matter how you word it, its the quality of the cakes that matters. You have a fun afternoon sorting & scrapping.
Bonjour mhags, ca va?
Sounds like your enjoying the french cuisine! Bring me back some smelly cheese please, the smellier the better, love that stuff
Choccy: corks, roflmao! :rotfl:
Hayley: hope you have a great 1st day & learn loads
Rainmac: hope your lads feel better, if you are made to feel like your wasting the drs time just them your worried about dehydration, your lads will be losing a lot of fluid having so many toilet trips (or slips as the case maybe).
Paddington: you had a REALLY good time at Malmaison then, lol.You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
I think I had a good time - I really can't remember getting into bed which was probably why I fell out the next morning as my legs didn't reach the floor :rotfl:.
Considering how much it cost it wasn't really posh an snobby at all just more of a one off if that makes sense. OH paid on his card and we managed to time it right with the bill so won't even have to pay it until June :T.
So nice to get back to normal with work have got just as much work done as I would have in the office and have put the hoover round and dusted - I always have these cravings after staying at SILs I don't think she even knows what dust looks like and I'm not going to mention cat hairs - :rotfl:.
Tidied up the mess in the utility room and put coal scuttle in the coal bunker but managed to pull the top off as it's gone rotten (another thing for OH to fix) although we can't have a fire any more without melting the TV.
Skip is being swapped tomorrow so maybe we can clear the garage and budgie shed with this one - think we might need another one though...................Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

OOh Rusty sounds a bit scarey over on the nappy cake thread, what a shame!! We are all here to learn and help each other and I really don't get this whole 'copying' thing! Hope you are ok xxx0

Rusty - I don't get it at all.
Nevermind that, I think whoever copied who - I would take it as an honour if someone liked my work so much that they wanted to copy it. I wouldn't worry about this other lady (plus my thinking is - not jumping to any conclusions - but she is a newbie whereas you are a regular). If you didn't do anything wrong, just ignore her. What's the point of getting all worked up and upset about such a silly thing?
Hope you are alright. I come here because it is a nice and a friendly place, people offer advice and support, and I found a real friend here as well even though I though that virtual should remain virtual as one can never be sure that what people say about themselves is actually the reality. :-) HTH. Hugs and love to you. xxx
ETA: of course, if applicable, the copyright issue comes to mind as well. Then, it's a legal matter.0 -
Thanks ladies, I had a good day
There were 6 of us on the training, 4 girlies and 2 men (and can I just say they were slightly creepy! But i'm sure they're very nice really!!) The training seems really interesting and I like how you work at your own pace.
Rusty - I think it's just horrible what that girl has done, I can't see where you've copied her at all! I'm not too sure if it's illegal what she's done because you can register any free domains however, i'm sure there must be something dodgy about what she's doing. I mean imagine if somebody registered www.moneysavingexpert.net and had a website just the same as MSE...surely that wouldn't be allowed? I really hope you get it sorted and to be honest her website looks so daft because the website address doesn't even match what the website is called so it looks very messy and unprofessional
Rainmac - hope your boys feel better soon
Mhags - hope you're having a lovely time in France, you lucky devil!
Paddingtondoo - glad you had a good time, from what you can remember, tut tut I don't know!!:rotfl:
I'm either getting a cold or it's hayfever, I do get it sometimes. Haven't stopped sniffling and sneezing all flippin day!!
We got a new quilt yesterday, a huge king size one (we've got a kingsize bed now and the other seemed way too small) and we ended up taking it off at about 3am and getting the other one because there was too much quilt and it was annoying us!! :rotfl: The quilt cover felt a bit rough too so I washed it today so hopefully it'll be a bit softer now! We swapped the pillowcases back too!! :rotfl:
Well i've just been to the library for the last two Harry Potter books so i'm going to have a read for an hour or so then going and make tea.
I hope our jammy is okay, i'm thinking of you hun and still sending you lots of hugs :A:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

aurora I too have made some beautiful friends on here. Both real life ones and 'virtual' ones. Its such a great place to be part of.
I was thinking of you earlier at lunchtime. I planted a red grape fruit tree. I bought it yesterday from Wilkinsons and only cost £3,which i thought was a great price. It probably wont have any fruit on it for 10-20 years, thats if i can manage to keep it alive :rotfl:. Need to plant up some more lettuce seeds too,its been a month since i planted my last ones and i want to keep up a supply of them. The ones i have now are very 'leggy' and just 2 leaves on each :rotfl:. Then i need to go through numerous seed packets to see what i can plant now
Oh my this trying to grow something edible is hard stuff
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Hooray - I worked out how to follow blogs. Am I clever or what? :rotfl:
choccie- well done!!! £3. for a red grapefruit tree, my goodness, that's well good price. I was eyeing up the white and the purple grape wines at about £4 each but living in the great north we don't have suitable weather conditions for that. But keep it warm, don't water too much and talk to it :-) , it'll love it at your place. :-)
Yes, I had the same problem with my niche salad, just went leggy all of sudden. It was my fault though, it didn't have enough direct sunlight. But the plain windowsill salad is fine, picking it already. So what are you planning on sowing? Good luck and enjoy. :-) My seedlings are all over the place, some are doing great, some are just plain disaster and the rest haven't germinated yet.But the rhubarb in the garden is doing great!!! Ready to pick already. BTW, any good ideas what to do with rhubarb apart from the obvious rhubarb crumble? :-)
