There seems to be a lot of "sadness" on this thread at the moment and I just wanted to say hi and send lots of HAPPY thoughts to you all. Life is darn tricky a lot of the time, I understand a lot of what you say, and have been through lots of sad times too (but I'm too nervous of "sharing" too much, even though you are all lovely and supportive).
As for meeting up, that would be good fun - I have no idea where most of you are based, but I'm guessing not in London - so where would "in the middle" be?
Do something nice today, just for YOU. xx :beer:0 -
Hmm....all these posts directed to PLM about the heartfelt post she had posted made me go "hmm have I missed something??"
It does appear at looking at the old thread, poor PLM posted a lovely message from the heart and I have completely missed it and posted a "PLEASE DO NOT POST UNDER HERE" post at the same time, so I look completely uncaring and 'orrible!sorry PLM, I did not see it
Awwah no rejection from us, no siree, we are having you in the flock and you iz not going anywhere! :rotfl:(muhahaha:eek:) Thank you for sharing your story with us, I feel awful about mentioning the cancer here as everyone has obviously got it all going on somewhere in their family. It makes me so sad that so many people are affected by a truly awful disease
Scatty - good idea on the journal jar, it is exactly what I need, and it will be something lovely for me to keep, and also to learn from Mum about what she has been up to in life etc. that has really kept me going with Gdad as I have interrogated his life stories out of him in the past (starting aged 7 with "so Grandad, how many people did you kill in the war?" - no one had mentioned it for years in case it upset him:o out of the mouths of babes eh? at least it got him talking about it, and at least I have all of those stories in a book now, it would be awful if they were lost)
Have a happy day everybody

Jamtart - Thankyou for the nice shiny new thread
PLM your post on the last thread brought a lump to my throat, however I am rubbish with words and don't know what to say but massive hugs to you xxx
Can I join in on the date thingy please? I vote March 21st ...
Morning everyone
*hugs* to anyone who needs them, after a late night last night I made sure I got OH out of bed ... cause I am lovely like that, I am jumping around the house pestering him to phone our friends to see if we can go and visit the new baby .... still hasn't done it yet though ... I have a photo tent on my dining room table that is about to go in the bin if he doesn't shift that aswell :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day ....
P.S I reckon we should arrange a meet up ... somewhere neutral in the middle of the country maybe so anyone who has a way to travel can be equal ... we should also book a hotel and all pile in together :rotfl:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Haven't been online all weekend, as seem to have done nothing but work and sleep!
Hope everyone is feeling a bit brighter this morning - the sun is actually shining here which always helps.
I know we all keep talking about meeting up, and was wondering if any of the ladies in the south were planning on going to the stitch and craft show at Olympia next month?
If so, how about arranging to meet there? They sell coffeeMarried 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December
