Ooooh guess what, i've found a crafty group near me! I think I might be really brave and go, the first meeting is at the end of the month. Glad it's not an established group, won't feel like an "outsider" then. I might have to get a taxi home because the bus service down that way is rubbish in the evening and I don't fancy standing around in the dark by myself! Oooh could be good though, be good to meet some new people.

I was looking for other groups around me and I have just found The Manchester Vampire Meet Up Group  It's for real vampires only ;) So you can only go if you are willing to suck blood  :rotfl: Is it wrong to be laughing at this??? There's a 106 members!! Thank god I don't like in the city centre anymore, i'd be scared of going out after dark!!

Oooh just found another one - the Millionaires Group, for people who want to become millionaires  Don't we all?? :rotfl:

Okay I have decided there are some nutters in and around Manchester!!

Please note: I am very sorry if I have offended anybody :)

Hayley - where have you been looking to find local craft groups ?

mum2one - well done on the 5 week challenge so far :T. Hope you have a lovely holiday

Rusty - that is fantastically MSE for DD birthday :T:T

Can someone please explain Bingoports to me ?. I don't understand the 'free but you still end up with vouchers' bit :o

When you join bingoport you get 1000 points, you can use these to play things like the free bingo (costs 2 points per ticket "bought"). If you win a line, 2 lines or full house you win in points.

You can also earn points (upto 1000 per day) by posting on the forums - you have to play the games as well though.

You can exchange these points for vouchers:
    • 4,000 PortPoints = New BingoPort.co.uk Avatar
    • 5,000 PortPoints = £5 at Foxy Bingo
    • 5,000 PortPoints = £5 at Desperate Wives Bingo
    • 5,000 PortPoints = £10 at Bingo Cafe
    • 8,000 PortPoints = £5 Amazon Gift Certificate
    • 16,000 PortPoints = £10 Amazon Gift Certificate
    hth :)

Blimey Rusty, that's some thriftiness :D. Maybe you could give us some lessons? Well done you, that's a brilliant result for your little one's birthday and what a running total for the £75 challenge :T:j:T:j:T:j. I'm nearly at £100 but nowhere near as good as you.
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

Hope you have a lovely day :)

Rusty - WOW on your savings!! That is amazing!! :D And yes you're right, it was the vampire group I want to join ;) hehe :p

Skiergirl - I just typed in my hometown and meet ups and there's a website called www.meetup.com, there are lots of different groups on there and you can search in your area :)

Oh i'm bit fed up today, I couldn't sleep at all last night, it was gone 3 and I was wide awake, I kept picking my book up but then i'd start to feel sleepy so i'd put it back down then i'd feel wide awake again!! It was getting on to 4am the last time I checked the clock :( I was supposed to get up at 10 so we could go out for the day but I didn't even hear my alarm and I didn't hear my OH getting up. He came and woke me up at 12  I felt so bad because I know he wanted to do something while he's off work, not just sit around all day. He should've tried to wake me up though! I am going to bed early tonight and then hopefully I should get to sleep at a normal ish time and be ok getting up tomorrow.

Ooooh i'm suddenly feeling a lot happier, just got a letter off CAB to say I can start the training with them, it starts next Tuesday! :j :j I went to the taster session weeks ago and I thought they'd turned me down. I'm so happy :D
 Think happy & you'll be happy
    I :heart2: my doggies

Right after that excitement, i must go and find something sensible to do :D

happy birthday Rufus dog. Hope you have a great day!
That's better , I can type now...was stuffing a cornetto in my mouth!

just in from work and dd2 is away to her grandparents for a sleepover tonight.....peace and quiet in our house but not theirs, she talks non stop.

Trying to get organised for my holiday, planning on doing a wee bit every night so it's not a big rush on Friday...that is the plan!
Need to go for my currency...for what it's worth! as I think the bank will be closed on Friday. Bought dd1 new jeans at Primark on Sunday but they are too tight....and she is very slim and think next size will be too big ,so will need to go back with them before Friday.

I got a delivery from Crafty Carrot who had a closing down sale....got loads for about £1.60! I might take some crafty stuff with me on holiday and might be inspired.

Rusty: well done on all your bargains for Maddison's b'day.Thrifty and gifty..I love it!

Hope everyone else is okay, enjoy your day, Mx

Well I have just googled clubs in my area and I can go to the Wolverhampton Stitch and !!!!!.. What a name for a club?! There are some REALLY interesting groups by me like the DS lovers group, dungeons and dragons, coffee lovers.. it's amazing!!

This is the bit where I make you all think I am a freak and you lose any respect you ever had for me..

Infact, I'm sure I already told you all this.. anyway..

I used to visit a blood bar with my friend. You have to gain a membership by having a blood test to ensure you have no STD's etc and then once inside you are free to be as vampiric as you wish. I had specialist fangs made with channels so that the fang would not plug up the hole it made and you could taste the blood whilst biting. It was really not that painful and a very sensual experience, choosing or being chosen and then trusting that person to be careful with you.

I don't know, I am a freak I guess. Just the same as going to a nightclub though and picking up blokes.
