My grandmother's taken a turn for the worse. My mother's down there now trying to get her out of the ward from hell and into somewhere where she can actually sleep.

I have to leave tonight for a conference in Italy. I don't think my presentation's till Friday but can't be entirely certain, and don't think I can miss it. Damn it all to hell.

Oh SugarSpun, so sorry to hear your news. Sounds like your mum is on the case. If you feel you should stay here rather than go to Italy that's what I think you should do. Work should sometimes wait as life is more important. Thinking of you and your family x

I've been to the bank this morning and deposited £19.40 Music Magpie cheque, £25 mystery shopping cheque and £53 card making cheque, I'm well happy :D All received before Jammy's challenge so I can't include them in the challenge.

For all you lovers of beautiful papers, have a look at this site... http://www.makethemomentlast.co.uk/ They have a sale on and p&p for orders under £10 is £1.75. They have 12x12 papers from 20p ;)

Rusty - looking forward to seeing how you do with the £500 challenge :D

Mhagster - sorry your DD is poorly and you've missed out on your day out, hope you get to rearrange it for another time.

Shevs - sorry had to laugh at your treadmill story. I would have done exactly the same, got back on as if everything was fine. Hope you didn't hurt yourself too much.

Jammy - how do you recycle ink cartridges at Tesco? Please tell me more... ;)

I've got a ton of ironing to try and get done today and DS2 is being a bit clingy, don't think he's feeling 100%.

The sun is shining here, long may it continue :D

Depending if your cartridge is on the list , you can get points from tesco or Boots (think there are more too) :D

I'm in Germany anyway, so it's hard to get to the UK from here or from the conference. Also, I'm running a workshop so I do really need to go, but it's Thursday morning so if the worst happens I can be in Liverpool by midafternoon Thursday. I've been looking forward to this conference (it's a glamorous one, unusually for my field!) but now I just want it to be over so I can be free to drop everything and fly home at a moment's notice.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. Sorry to be so whingey.

PS- just put my vote in for Mel.
