Check me out talking to myself today :D

I have just got my DP order delivered. Don't you just love being between sizes?

I am 5ft3 but have much longer legs than body (I know I sound like a freak!) and generally have a weird shape! I would say I was a 10 on top (but big chest so often need a 12) and 12/14 bottom (more 14 at the moment) but a skinny little waist and big monster hips and legs. size 12 in baggy dresses, 14 in tight dresses.

The following is ALL based on DP clothes

Last time I ordered 14L jeans - they could have been for giants they were that long.

Just ordered 14L trousers which are ankle swaying.

Ordered a 12 top which is SO baggy I need at least an 8 for it to resemble a t-shirt not a bin bag. Last time I ordered a 12 I got stuck in it and had that panic where you think you are forever going to be stuck in a top!

The word 'floaty' in floaty dress could be replaced with "will make you look pregnant" dress.

The "ditsy" in ditsy tunic should be "will make you look like a t*t if you have anything but a flat chest and no backside"

The floral shirt is nice, but based on the fact it was £22, and no matter how cute or ditsy I'm really not sure that is justifiable.!

All in all a 100% guilt free shopping blow out, very MSE at a saving of £108 :D but a totally boring wardrobe remains as it is currently all going back! :(

Maybe I'll remember this next time i reach for a crunchie :D

    Hi Jammy
Its quiet in here today
I'm the same size overall as you but have the opposite problem of a long body and very short legs (now who's the freak ?:rotfl: ). The only place I used to be able to get trousers to fit was Principles and sometimes M&S petite ranges so I'll be struggling now Principles has gone
Its so frustrating when you're not a size 10 model  :rotfl:

POETS day today so I am back from work early. :-)

I caught up on 12 pages and now I forgot what I wanted to say.
Marg - thank you for the advice, simple and very true. Thank you.

Rusty - hope all will go well for you, keep strong and positive. xxx

Furry - "Families who'd have them eh????" I AGREE with you wholeheartedly!!!

Jammy - I am here now. Talk as much as you like. :-)
I have the same problem with clothes. Small on the top 8-10 (varies between the different shops as each shop has different sizing, Primark is the worst for me) and bottom 10-12 small waist and wide hips so I resorted to wearing hipsters or low rise as they call it these days. :-)

Hope everyone is having nice weather, we've had it sunny for 3 days now, how good is that? No gales and no rain or snow. :-)

    xxx

    Afternoon all!
Not so much to catch up on today where have you all been? :D

Glad you feel better today Rusty - was going to tell you to step away from the boxes and give it a few days and see how it goes. I know this is no excuse but he will have a lot of worries at the moment and you are the easiest person to take it out on.

I've decided men are all the same. They always make out that they do loads "for you" without thinking that it's their home too. My OH is just as bad and I'm not a stay at home mum. He was back early from work this afternoon and went to the pub rather than see if any housework needed doing but he is back now cooking the tea. In that time I've picked up DD, been to Tesco, put it away, tidied the kitchen and put the washer on .

Sorry your new wardrobe didn't work out Jammy I'm like you with longer legs and a shorter body I'm also different sizes on top and bottom so anything that fits up top hangs off the bottom half so I only have 1 dress in my wardrobe :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Hi Skiier, Aurora, Mhagster and Padster!

It is quite funny looking at it. I just tidied my trouser cupboard out and out of the 25 pairs of trousers I own:
*2 went to charidee 'cos they have NEVER fitted me (silly girl)
*3 dont fit me but Im not binning them yet, they are summer kecks so if I dont wear them this summer they are being binned
*8 pairs are on the interface - with a small amount of less eating they'll be fine again
    *11 do fit!

So when broken down like that, more fit than dont :D

Mhagster - I had about an 8 month break from the blog as you may notice last year :D it isnt that exciting, as i generally only post about things I've made or occasionally house updates

As your talking about clothes & sizing I thought I'd join in :)
I HATE Primark sizing!!!! A lot of shops will make the sizing bigger than it actually is to make you feel good about them, primark I think does the opposite!

    Just a flying visit today.

Went to the park and had a really nice day. We took a picnic and all chilled out on the blankets and then went to nans in the afternoon. Went to put the kids in bed and realise Emily has left her massive bag of all her favourite stuffed toys at the park. Lee just raced out to get them and the lads at the skate park had found her teddy all battered and put him safe. Emily loves teddy and takes him everywhere, I felt so greatful. My Pikachu and all my teddies I had passed on to her from when I was little and the little Thumper I bought her last month from Disney as a present were all gone. I had a really good cry about it. People are just plain thieves.

    Anyway

Jammy One of the companies I work for is Doodlebug and we have some really good deals on at QVC. Check the range out on there. There are some great packs that contain letters and papers and allsorts. HTH x

I feel so honoured that I got a special reply :D thank you I will have a good look over there :)

I am SO sorry about Emily's teddies, but I am glad they saved one of them. It is so upsetting when something like that happens xxxx
