ahh thanks everyone - my husband was wondering whether we would be spending more on presents for baby at christmas. Does he not know who he is married to - just a few things wrapped up so dd can enjoy giving baby something - I was thinking 10pounds tops, he was thinking another hundred - I said don't be daft!!!!!!!!!baby will only be a month old.

Thanks rainmac - I have extra strong mints in my bag. I made the mistake of eating an orange ice lolly in bed last night - think that was why I puked.

Very thrifty - this time I have everything we need for a baby but the pram that my dad will buy - just need a new matress for cot. My sis in law has clothes for me if it's a boy - a lot of dd's baby grows are unisex colours anyways. I have all dd's clothes still. Just need a changing table too cos we suffered with our backs last time - doesn't need to be an expensive thing, maybe just one of those that fits across the cot?!

Bit worried what the doctor/midwife will say about my weight!! A midwife in maternity when I had libby said you need to take care of yourself cos you're a big lass...I was mortified, I was only big cos I'd just had a baby, my weight was about 14 stone at the end, but I was normally between 9 and a half and 10!!! Ate my way through that pregnancy as was constantly nauseus - all day - all night and eating solved it - won't do that this time, even though I'm big, I feel pretty fit.

last time, ginger, ginger biscuits, in the end crisps or mints kind of helped. This time last time I was so bad I ended up so dehydrated I got sent to hospital by my doctor, I'd been hurling constantly for 2 weeks and at 8 weeks they sent me in, so if I'm about that now, I've only puked once and it was only tiny compared. So I think I'm doing much better this time. Not got to smell anything too pungent in the morning...or it'll set me off.

Hope I don't bore anyone with baby talk!

Oooh scattymam poor you! I hate midwives they can be so b!tchy! excuse my french! ....

I had 9 months of morning sickness with DS, I found out I was pregnant when only 11 days!!! that was torture (I thought I just had gastric flu :rotfl:) with DD I was like a psycho from hell, anyone even dared to speak to me and I would rip their head off (now I know why OH left me when I was 12 weeks) didn't have much sickness with her just up til 4 months. Although she caused me more problems with BIH building up etc
Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists

The midwives who delivered libby were amazing. Lovely, I had to go to theatre to get stitched up cos it was bad and the midwife stayed on after her shift to sit with me during it and hold my hand, gave me hugs when she went home. Lovely woman.

The ones on maternity itself though were really rude, very abrupt, they were totally understaffed mind, |i know not all midwifes are likew that, but still what an awful thing to say to someone who's just had a baby - like you're not paranoid about your weight enough at that stage!!!
