Morning all
Seems like everyone is having a bit of a hard time at the minute! So massive hugs to you all. I wrote a massive long post then clicked and it all dissapeared, I can't remember what I wrote in it :rotfl: so hugs will have to do for now!
Rainmac, (why do I always want to call you by your real name now?) hope your little one picks up soon, it is always hard when they are so poorly
I had a little play with some scrap paper with my new dies, one of them is fantastic has swirls and I love it!, the other is dots and I'm not sure it looks right. OH suggested I have a play about and if I still don't like it then to sell it on ebay and get my money back which sounds like a good ideaMy other one the speech bubble is well ace though
Sorry I didn't get on to reply to you all last night, OH got in just before 7 so we spent some time with the kiddies then put them to bed and OH and I had some quality time together  It was really nice as although we did nothing special we cuddled up on the settee together and watched good old Heston gut some frogshe has gone back out this morning with his mate to work again today so extra pennies and I am hoping he will come home in a great mood like he did last night
I also spoke to OH about his mum again and actually got an answer. I said I have 1 more frame to make for his mum, he said to make it up and leave it on the side on the offchance she bothers to get in touch (neither of us think she will) he said if she doesn't then we can keep it and put it up somewherehe says he can't be bothered with her anymore and nuts to her  so that is that one sorted! saves me worrying about it anymore, I will make it up later on today hopefully and put it to one side.
I am going to put the contents of half of my garage on freecycle today, in the hope someone will want it ... I plan to just say it is bootsale items and hopefully they will just come take it away! I need to get in there though and move it all to one side. Then as soon as we have some space in there we can move the filing cabinet down from the office and make room for DD to have her own roomhe is on my wavelength now, especially after last night when she was awake at 1:30 am singing songs about tigger!!
Hope you all have a nice day, the sun is shining here and I plan to be busy today (wether that happens or not is a different matter)

have all you guys seen martins newsletter today - there's a forum thread called the completing a challenge challenge. This is for people like me who never get round to actually completing things. So I'm going to do it here. My challenge today is to list 3 things on ebay and to get started again on my writing course. Tonight we are watching I am legend so I will make 3 cards while watching it. I signed up for the writers bureau course a while back when it was on offer but as there are no time limits I find it hard to make headway.
I am thinking of a challenge in April to make 500 pounds - some of this just to replenish my savings and some towards my money neutral. I have stuff to ebay - I am going to do a car boot sale in april, I normally make about a hundread pounds from it but am hoping to bump the total up by selling some cards, etc; Have some more stuff to trade in at music magpie or cex. And anything else I can do...0 -
I also need to buckle down with our budget. I should really do a review and start having some no spend days. Today will be a no spend day.(I promise to stay away from kfc).0

I like this challenge challenge.
My challenge today is to finish the slides I need to make for my presentation on Friday, and to figure out a way to eat very, very cheaply over the next few days while I'm at this poxy conference.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
When I was out yesterday - I bought a book - couldn't help myself - it was cheapos in asda. It's called The resourceful mum's handbook - baby on a budget. I normally am very critical of such books and magazine articles as they are not usually in my opinion very money saving at all. Money saving if you're already a millionaire perhaps. Mu bugbear at the moment is our local gazette has a money saving recipe person once a week - and the recipes aren't cheap - they aim to be for people who need to cut their food budgets but then the list of ingredients are ridiculous. One came to about 15pounds for the meal - we could live for a week on that!!
Anyways back to book - I had a flick through whilst I sat in the car down the beach before I went for dd from nursery. The main reason I bought it was it had basic knitting instructions. But it also had make your own mobiles, childrens clothes, baby comforters etc; I like the idea of making the comforters. It only uses 2 handkercheif size bits of material, some thread and some remnants of ribbons that you sew along the sides in loops - on the search for nice cheap material now too.0 -
Last post - in the eventuality that I am preggers - (I am feeling rather queazy today - oo er!!! DD wanted spicy tomato couscous for breakfast!! and I couldn't eat it - made me feel sick!) my friend gave me a baby monitor - it's a video one so you can see your baby - cost her about 90pounds - so that's saved me some money. I didn't use one last time but I thought I would get one this time but I would have just bought the cheapest one. So I'm excited to try it out...my sis in law, my mate who I've known since childhood and my mate I met at dd's baby group are probs my three best mates and none of them want any more kids so I know they'll all shower me with hand me downs - can't wait - bring it on. My sis in law already does and she shops at next for her dd then passes them onto me and she's impeccably clean - I'm very lucky. The only thing I need this time is a pram and maybe a changing table - broke our backs last time doing it on the floor. My dad normally buys the prams so that's covered - my friend may be selling her red quinny travel system so shall hang on and see for how much.
Anyway - sunday cometh I shall go buy a test before then and inform you all.0 -
