Thanks for the lovely comments furry & choccy, my top half is a size 12 & lower half is 14 coz of my buddha belly, told you I knew how to hide it :D
Maybe its the clothes shops that are wrong & you gals are right.
I'm up for losing a bit of weight via exercise, & cutting down on my sugary treats. I've got a few work out dvds so shall find those out today, thats my challenge for the day, lol.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you scatty & cant wait for the results on sunday. Just remember, if your not then it gives you more time to have fun trying, & I think thats the key, keep it fun with as little stress on yourselves as possible.
Theres someone who sells those comforters on ebay, my brother just had a bundle of ribbons tied together as he loved silky things (always has had gfs with long silky hair as well, lol), whereas my lil sis prefered her crocheted shawl that she could slip her fingers between the holes.

I actually opened the link for the challenge challenge but came for a nosey in here first & say good morning to you gals.

Glad your OH made a decision Rusty, hopefully no come back on you now.

When I was out yesterday - I bought a book - couldn't help myself - it was cheapos in asda. It's called The resourceful mum's handbook - baby on a budget. I normally am very critical of such books and magazine articles as they are not usually in my opinion very money saving at all. Money saving if you're already a millionaire perhaps. Mu bugbear at the moment is our local gazette has a money saving recipe person once a week - and the recipes aren't cheap - they aim to be for people who need to cut their food budgets but then the list of ingredients are ridiculous. One came to about 15pounds for the meal - we could live for a week on that!!

Anyways back to book - I had a flick through whilst I sat in the car down the beach before I went for dd from nursery. The main reason I bought it was it had basic knitting instructions. But it also had make your own mobiles, childrens clothes, baby comforters etc; I like the idea of making the comforters. It only uses 2 handkercheif size bits of material, some thread and some remnants of ribbons that you sew along the sides in loops - on the search for nice cheap material now too.

Just a quickie, do you have any old blankets? you could use them to make a comforter. I stole one of DD's blankets and left it full size and made it into a taggy for her.
    Here is a pic :)

Ladies, can anyone suggest a place to sell my prams? I have 2 of, both from birth but one is more of a stroller and the other is a complete proper pram system. Both are in good condition. and both silver cross. I looked on ebay and they don't seem to go on there for a lot (the bigger one doesn't sell at all :( but seems such a waste to just take to the tip and I am struggling to part with it :( (stupid aren't I)

A lot of comments from you chatty things so I will just say HI to everyone! Had a great Paddy's night (only just got up!)

With regards to the wieght loss thing, id be happy to do PLMs suggestion for you all, but I'm not sure I'm up for the dieting either yet! What I used to do is collect in how much exercise everyone had done and different activities would have different points (they were based on the WW scheme) e.g.
    walking 15mins 0.5pts
    running 15mins 1pt
    sprinting 15mins 1.5pts

you would set your weekly target (anything you like) and try and hit that many points in a week. It is not a competition between people, just setting your own target. I think I will try and do this again, and if anyone wants to join me do PM me as I need all the moral support I can get when it comes to exercise!!!!

Do you have a local paper that you could advertise it in?

And is all your garage stuff just fit for freecycle or could you make some pennies on it via ebay? I listed a loads of DS2's baby toys as a couple of job lots and said collection only and they sold - for a good price too. You could always freecycle it if it doesn't sell. I've got a load more toys they've grown out of in our garage and I just need the time to sort them out and then they are going on ebay, collection only again.

I never even thought of the local papers. I will have to look into it as where I use to live it used to cost £8 to advertise for 1 week in the free paper!

My plan was to chuck most of it on freecycle as a boot sale bric a brac ( we won't be able to do a bootsale but want rid!) and then I have 2 washing baskets full of Maddisons baby toys which I thought about listing on ebay, a lot of them are fisher price and still in perfect condition. I can easily post by courier aswell so thought that might encourage them to sell a bit better?

Jammy I would like to do it please :T Will you do the dieting thing too for me.. if I do it myself I won't be bothered about it but I know you will do it well. You don't have to though, I know you are busy x

Rusty have you thought about freecycling your prams or putting them into the local paper or giving them to charity. Freecycle... I have heard a lot of people say that their stuff gets taken away without a thank you or anything so that one might be a heartbreaker if you're attached to them. Charity.. Someone who is in dire need will see your pram and won't believe their luck. Newspaper.. no matter what the person is like you will get a bit of money for your prams and feel better about parting with them. I am glad your OH is coming out of his shell a bit.. keep it up and enjoy this time where you are happy.. you deserve it x

Sylph I have got really good peripheral vision (prolly to make up for being as deaf as a erm piece of bread) and when we was chatting about you putting on loads of weight I had a sneaky look at the K under the jacket. I sound like some kind of pervert now don't I?? Anyway.. OMG you are SO tiny. I am not even kiddin' you are very petite. I seriously think you have one of those problems like on 'how to look good naked' and you think you are much bigger than you trully are so therefore by bigger sizes. Please, Please, Please will you measure your waist for me and check out what size you are. It might be because you are only short and get petite ranges.. but I know you're a Primark shopper ;) so prolly not.

Scattymam 'Last post - in the eventuality that I am preggers ' < If you are pregnant are you going to suddenly drop dead? LOL Are you sure your daughter isn't pregnant.. I think I would be off spicy cous cous for breakfast as well :rotfl: Althought that is a total lie I used to eat curries and all sorts. Wishing you loads of luck and hoping you get the result you want x oh and get doing your writers bureau.. You are amazing at writing and before you know it you could be published.. i'd buy it :T

Sugarspun I hope the conference goes ok. I am so naughty I would prolly end up treating myself every day LOL :A <see my MSE halo

BunBun ooOoOo what sort of guitar is it :D I love guitars!! I bet he will be sooo excited!

Hels Whoah what do you think you are doing swearing all over the thread.. K**K Box**g, Be*ly D*ncing  Control yourself lady!! I should have been out for the count but I was up till the early hours trying to complete a work deadline and I had to come on here and show off I was up so late:p

Mhag Yeh I woz ere 09!! Doesn't sound as good as the grafitti all over the notebooks at school does it LOL

Hayley Oh MY word! I had totally forgot about horny hamsters!! When I was about 12 I had two hamsters in seperate cages.. one male one female. They would constantly be trying to get to each other through the bars LOL I would take them out and stroke them and they would just go really stiff as if they was frozen and the tails would go right up in the air.. you could just stop and they'd resume living and start and they freezer like as quick as that it was funny to watch. I popped to the toilet and forgot to watch them and when my mom walked in the room to bring me a drink they was Boom chicka WOW WOW on the bed.. :o 13 hamsters later and the nightmare was over.

Thank you for all your advice and concern for my youngest monkey. He didn't stay sleeping soundly last night for long  Been to doctors and he has an ear and throat infection, the glands in his neck are huge today. Had to get anti-biotics to get it sorted cos he's suffering so much - got DS1's birthday party on Saturday so the timing is great

Got a phonecall last night from my wedding card lady and she has some work for me so off to pick it up this afternoon - money!

OH said his company had a visit from the cash and carry place Cost Co yesterday and his company have agreed they will become members - OH is going to get membership for free!

Got so much to do over next couple of days to get ready for DS1's party, luckily I was super organised about it anyway so have done lots (you guys have seen my party bags ;)). Got a Tesco order coming tomorrow with most of the food I need.

For anyone who does mystery shopping with edigitalresearch, they have loads of jobs on offer at the mo :D

I test products for this company and it can save you money - I've tested bin bags, dishwasher tablets, shower gels, shampoos, face cream, body lotions... All you have to do is complete on online survey after trying the item. They email you when a trial is available. I'm getting shower gel for OH and face scrub for me this week ;)
