  • Good morning all, nice to see lots of excited happy people again.

Jammy - good news about the dentist - I had root canal years ago and it was a very lengthy procedure (lots of visits), so glad you don't have to go through that.

ChoccyOrange, PLM, Sylphraven and Rainmac - I think it's great if you all get to meet up at the NEC, hope you manage to arrange it.

Orchid - I know what you mean about the hygienist - they drive me mad - they always ask "do you floss twice a day etc, etc", I have never know anyone who does, and they always make you feel so bad. I have to admit I have always held back, but would love to point out that if everyone had perfect teeth and flossed after every meal, they probably wouldn't have a job (rant over).

Scattyman - Sorry to hear that your Dad is down, you must be feeling it too, it's coming up to the 5th anniversary of my Dad's death and it is always a difficult time - so HUGS to you and your family.

Rainmac - I LOVE those Easter bunnies and chicks - I am tempted to look at the instructions and see if I could make these for my nieces.

    Have a great day.

I made these flannel animals last night using these instructions (I didn't follow to the letter cos I'm rubbish at sewing), I love the chicks...

    Happy Easter everyone :easter_ba

I love these, am planning on trying them for my nephews/nieces this easter, I even got the googly eyes from hobbycraft last weekend, can you just tell me (this is probably a stupid question) do you use any size of flannel or do you need to get quite big ones...also any recommendations as to where to get nice flannes going cheap :rotfl: :rotfl: couldn't resist

There's no such thing as a stupid question ;) I bought what I would call 'normal' sized flannels. Wilkos is quite a good place for them, 25p each I think (that's where I got my white ones from) :D

Thought I'd pop in and say good morning to everyone.
I think I must be money neutral............obviously rubbing off coming on here. I'm going to bank to pay in a cheque for £30 that was a cash back from buying a camera at Christmas that we got with using OH's airmiles ,so it was free too! Does that make me double neutral!!

Going to pizza hut for pig out buffet.....should keep hungry, grumpy 13 year old son going for a wee while. As soon as we get in, he'll be asking for something to eat!
Need to go to Poundland (how I love that shop!) to get cans of juice for work ...4 for £1, instead of paying £1+ at work. I always have a wee kook at their craft section to see what's new.
Enjoy your day......................although I am so not talking to those that are meeting up!
Only joking! just wish it was nearer.........you can all come up to the one in Glasgow when it's on!

mine and OH's job for this half term is to get our house looking a bit more presentable! seriously we need a good clear out. our problem is storage...and hoarding stuff. I do get embaressed by it when friends come round but there's not alot I can do about it! lack of storage means I have nowhere to put the piles of papers. years ago a friend of mine came round for the first time and later she made some comment about how messy my house was:eek: it's OK for her in her big 5 bedroom house with loads of storage space. One day I will have a tidy house!

I would have loved to meet up at the NEC but unfortunately that is the week end my parents are coming to stay. they were supposed to be coming this week end but had to postpone. It would have been perfect as my MIL lives just outside Birmingham so we could have stayed with her the week end and she could have spent time with her son and grandchildren (without me!!!). Next time count me in!

Choccy O your earlier post was so sweet, I luvs yer too my twin (yes I've bought more scrapbooking stuff over here I have to start now as it's just getting silly!!!) You are as much a part of this thread as me (and everyone else) and you are missed hugely when you're not here so I'm glad you are coming on to post everyday regardless!

Well I went on a boat trip today and spotted lotsa wildlife including dolphin, pelicans, osprey and even a bald eagle!! Just call me kate Humble or David Attenborough!!! My poor dad has been poorly today he thinks he has food poisoning so beginning to wonder if it's just a really evil bug!!

  • WOW Rainmac they are FANTASTIC !!
I love them... yellow and more white flannels onto my lists of must buys.. I still have 10 dark brown ( rudolph ) flannels here ready for next year. Oooh that would be great if you could come too. I am not sure what day yet, anyday suits me :)

Jammy Great news about the dentist, I really really have a dentist fear. But after having an reoccuring abcess for 2 years i plucked up courage and went. I wont tell you , but i am now abcess free and if i can manage, you can. Right wolverhampton. Not sure where you are but you mentioned york so going south you have (roughly) York.Leeds.Nottingham.Birmingham then wolverhampton is south of birmingham. Or there abouts lol

goochie yes we are all very happy again, well i know i am excited about meeting my virtual friends.. Ooooh they will be real people once we meet :)

Paddingtondoo Im looking forward to seeing your scrapbook. I really need to start making something with all my pretty papers, i just keep buying more and more of them

Sarahf191979 Oooooh i bet there will be coffee drinking on the list of days events ;) So if you can make it that would be great. Its going to be strange remembering everyones real names lol

Furrypig Ooh rearrange any plans for another week ;) It would be great to meet my twinnie. Glad to hear that you are enjoying the scrapping stores there. I cant wait to see what you make with your holiday stash. I bet you have some fantastic photos,if the castle one is anything to go by. Sorry to hear your dads not feeling well now, hope hes feeling better soon.

Scattymam1 Hope your dad feels better after his visit with you. I think that sometimes it takes alot for most people on their own to admit they want abit of company, i know my grandad is very proud too and its not very often he has said hes feeling abit down. Mind mum always makes sure that hes kept fairly busy for 'that' week. Mums bossy so grandad does as he is told lol.
Its a shame you arent going on the scrapbook course. But to be honest looking at your page i dont suppose theres much they can teach you. Its very good !
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
