Rufus - your flowers are gorgeous! I also got the £60, it's from the DLA, my mum said it was a christmas bonus but I don't understand why we got it now and why £60? I'm not complaining though :j

mhagster - you do make me laugh how you always call your son "grumpy son" :rotfl: Really tickles me!

chocolate orange - who's debbie who? Sorry, i'm not very helpful am I? :rotfl:

I've been to the doctors today...told him how down i've been getting again and how panicky and nervous, how I can't sleep, not eating, not really going out anywhere etc. And he's suggested I go back on my tablets, he said try it for a month to see if it helps. I'm really wary though. I'm not as bad as last time, not by a long shot but I am feeling like it was at the start and I don't want it to get as bad as last time...if that makes sense? But I don't want to rely on medication to make me feel "normal" - I only took them last time because I was really really bad and thought I was going to do something stupid.

Going to keep hold of them for a few days and think it over. The side effects were awful last time and he's given me a higher dose this time.

Good news though - going to see my friends gorgeous little baby today. I am sooooooo excited!! I'm always scared of holding newborn babies though...what if I drop her?? Get her all to myself for a whole hour, well apart from her mummy but she gets her for the rest of her life so I think she should let me keep her for an hour :D I'm going to take lots of pictures and then I might do something crafty with them.

Okay i'm going to go and get ready...have a nice afternoon ladies :D
 Think happy & you'll be happy

We got our letters yesterday re secondary school. Luckily we are near our first choice so got in ok. Sadly a really good friend og mine, not only didn't get her son into any of her 3 choices but he's been allocated one further away!! Plus it's the worse school in our area she is devastated and the whole family have been crying about it!! I's so awful, I feel bad but there is nothing I can do except be a shoulder to cry on, someone to vent with etc etc.

Well done on getting your school scatty it is a great feeling!

I am dreading this time next year when we will be in that situation. Is there any chance your friend's son will get in on appeal? it's a waiting game though which isn't at all pleasant.

But the upshot is I now need to find a birthday present for a 13year old boy for tomorrow
I have spent so much time with him over his life I dont know how Ive forgot it or how im at such a total loss as to what to get him.
    arghhh help someone please??
I really dont want to give him money or a voucher though
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

I think I saw over in the family moneysaving forum there is someone who can help with school appeals and gives advice to parents whos child didnt get the first choice of school. the link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=391020

I have no experience on the matter as when my parents wanted me to go to the best school in the next area we moved house into the area. Although my aunt claims her daughters live at my grandads to get them into a lovely primary school which isnt in her area.

:rotfl: Aww bless! I prefer them asleep, babies usually cry when I hold them, so if they're asleep, they wont cry :T :rotfl:

Re the 13 year old though...it's my nephews 13th birthday soon and i'm getting him one of those model aeroplane set thingy's, where he builds it himself. You can get them for about £5 my mum said. They do more expensive ones as well though. Don't know if that's something he'd be interested in? Or a computer game? DVD/CD? Football? Good luck!

(I really am going now...must tear myself away :rotfl:)

Rufus - lovely flowers, great win! Think we can safely say they are from your Mum via John Lewis. We always take comfort from when we see my Nans favourite bird in the garden, its like shes watching over us. Turned up the day I got keys to my new house. No other birds, just that one, and I just smiled because she must of liked the house (i probably sound like a loon!)

We have a little Robin that appears every birthday or significant event that has happened since my Dad died. Its also been known to follow people round the garden and sit on the window sill looking into the house.
Its a nice thought anyway and definately dont sound like a loon

OMG, same here, a robin appeared on the window cill the day after my dad died and stayed for days, watching me through the window going through all the paperwork etc. Every time I see a robin now I think of my Dad. :T

thanks for the link phunkles - I might need it one day! they are talking about having feeder schools so fingers crossed that is what they will do and my two's school will def be a feeder school. It's all up in the air at the moment, but I am not going to worry about it till the time comes.

hayley enjoy seeing the new little baby - I don't think an hour is too much to ask for! make sure you take lots of pics!

Thanks for all the posts about your Mums and Nans, my Dad has a robin which comes to his garden when we go over there, makes me think now whether its her looking in to see what we are doing lol, she too used to love robins.

Just got back from town, managed to get my bag I wanted, its very unusual, made of wood of some kind with two gold hinges at the bottom and lovely patterns on it. I'm very pleased with it. Picked up some more photo paper too for OH's book but hes on nights now for 2 weeks and I am too tired come the evenings to do anything like that so will wait until he goes back on days again.
