mrsgibbs - aww welcome and how sweet is your OH!! :) Sounds so lovely! we will help guide you *ahem* to organisation for all sorts of special events so hi and dont be shy to post!

PLM - Stop posting pictures of the ThriftyGifty boys. Myself, Sylphy, Furrypig, Sarahf and JordanShannon do NOT want our other' halves half naked pictures on MSE! :D

Journal Jar info here although many people seem to have done this before. I'm definitely doing one. If anyone has any of the questions typed up and doesn't mind sending them to me, I would be most grateful :D My Dad will hate doing this but I'll tell him needs must and you never know the day (!)

Where is choccy orange?? - she has vanished again! come out come out wherever you are!!

I have made journal jars for my nan (she loves hers and is keeping up with writing her memories down) and for some friends. I haven't made a jar for a bloke (am thinking about maybe doing one for my dad this year) - PM me your email address if you'd like a copy of my questions ;)

I used some of these to help me on my way with questions...

I used these 0.5L Burken Ikea jars (97p ;)) and tied fibres/ribbons to the handle...

These jars can fit 50+ questions and a glue stick!

  • I am loving this thread, getting loads of ideas for when I eventually actually sit down and make a card and not just surf ebay/craft shops for supplies  for some reason I seem to think I need masses of stuff to even begin!!

Paddington I had a sneaky look at your wedding pics too :o you looked lovely - I love your dress, my sis is getting married next year and has mentioned purple colours, I think those lilac bridesmaids look great (did you get the dresses made) my sis mentioned dark purple, but I know I probably sound a bit strange but dark purple reminds me of funerals _pale_

Those journal jars are a great idea, can I just ask, does the recipient write down their answers and pop them back in the jar?

jamtart6 love your card, did you write the best wishes bit freehand?

right - banning myself from here until after 2.00

Going to get us washed and dressed
    tidy all the bedrooms
    clean bathroom
    hoover
start sorting craft stuff - again!
    wash dishes
    mop floor
    do 2 washes and dry
walk to town with dd and go to home bargains
    make tea
write next 2 weeks menu plans and shopping list sticking to budget
    send off dog chip form

Tonight - settle down to do crafts

all while keeping dd entertained - hence the visit to home bargains for some kind of painting kit.
  • thank you orchid - we had a fantastic day it was very relaxed and although we only had 35 or so people there it was very special - the dresses were from jewlz bridal and the big bridesmaid one cost more than my dress did .

I hadn't knitted for years when i started again scatty and it did all some back - wouldn't suggest trying riding a bike I dread to think what injuries the needles would do to you if you fell off :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
